PhilRECA Party-list Rep. Presley C. De Jesus paid tribute to the heroism and daily sacrifices of Sundalo ng Pailaw during the 2026 National Lineworkers Appreciation Day at the House of Representatives.

"Sa paglabas niyo ng tahanan upang gampanan ang inyong tungkulin, nasa hukay na ang isa ninyong paa. Sa gitna ng bagyo, itinataya ninyo ang sarili upang maibalik ang suplay ng kuryente. Marapat lamang na kayo ay kilalanin at parangalan."

The Power Bloc also pushed for House Bill No. 7304, or the "National Line Workers Appreciation Day Act". Championed across the 18th, 19th, and 20th Congresses, the measure seeks to declare the first Monday of August as a national day of recognition for electrification heroes.

After passing the House of Representatives, the landmark bill is now pending in the Senate.
