The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pangasinan Provincial Office conducted an Orientation and Dry Run for the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program mentees in Pangasinan to help them prepare for their upcoming Business Improvement Plan (BIP) Presentation.

The activity provided mentees with the opportunity to refine their presentations, and strategies in presenting their final BIPs based on the rating criteria and mechanics of the BIP Presentation. As a key component of the DTI Go Negosyo KMME Program, the BIP Presentation serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have gained throughout the mentoring sessions, particularly in areas such as marketing, operations, financial management, and business growth.

Through this initiative, DTI continues to support the development of competitive, innovative, and growth-oriented micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by equipping entrepreneurs with the tools and confidence needed to scale up their businesses, improve productivity, and access wider market opportunities.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 1 recently concluded its “May-Kan” Program, a gastronomic initiative held from May 25–29, 2026, dedicated to uncovering and promoting the rich culinary heritage of the region.

While the program featured a diverse selection of destinations and culinary treasures across Pangasinan and La Union, DTI Pangasinan proudly highlights the participation of its assisted MSMEs. These businesses represent the innovation and quality driving our local food industry.

We commend the following DTI-assisted MSMEs for representing Pangasinan’s thriving food sector:

🥜 Rotico Food Products (Mangaldan, Pangasinan) – maker of the famous Romana’s Peanut Brittle, continuing a beloved local tradition of high-quality native delicacies. Beyond its iconic peanut brittle, the enterprise has expanded its product line to include peanut butter, dry-roasted cashew, garlic peanuts, and chicha pop.

🧂 Tiblong’s Flavored Salt (San Fabian, Pangasinan) – a proudly local innovation rooted in Pangasinan’s rich salt-making heritage, featuring artisanal flavored salts that celebrate the province’s identity as “PangAsinan”.

Through programs like May-Kan, our MSMEs continue to prove that Pangasinan is not only a place of beautiful destinations but also a powerhouse of culinary talent.

Join us in supporting our homegrown enterprises. Choose local. Support Pangasinan MSMEs! 💙
