The Municipality of Damulog, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Person with Disability (PDAO) section, proudly celebrates the successful conduct of the 3rd Municipal Disability Rights Week, highlighting our shared commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, inclusion, and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
A significant milestone of this year's celebration was the launching of the ๐— ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜†'๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—™๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—”๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—บ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐——๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€, and raffle draw, a testament to the LGU's unwavering commitment to improving the lives and well-being of our PWD sector.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 16th Sangguniang Bayan Members, headed by the Municipal Vice Mayor VM Clinette P. Buro, for their steadfast support in making this initiative possible, and to our Municipal Mayor Hon. Mel Buro for approving the budget that brought this meaningful program to reality.

๐ŸคŸ Basic Filipino Sign Language Training | July 6โ€“10, 2026 ๐ŸคŸ

The Persons with Disability Affairs Section, under the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of LGU Damulog, successfully conducted the Basic Filipino Sign Language Training on July 6โ€“10, 2026, with the active participation of our dedicated service providers.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their unwavering commitment and consistent attendance throughout the five-day training. Your dedication to learning Filipino Sign Language reflects your genuine commitment to promoting accessible and inclusive services for the Deaf Community.

Our sincere gratitude goes to our competent trainers, Ms. Anna Lou N. Villanueva, Ms. Mary Grace F. Ayoon, and Mr. Alejandro D. Albacia, Jr., for generously sharing their knowledge, skills, and experiences that made this training meaningful and impactful.

We also express our deepest appreciation to Sir Dominador D. Libayao, PDAO Head, for gracing the Culmination Program and for delivering an inspiring and informative message that encouraged everyone to continue advocating for the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of our brothers and sisters with disabilities, especially the Deaf Community.

Distribution of Welfare Goods to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
July 7โ€“8, 2026

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), through the Persons with Disability Affairs Section conducted the Distribution of Welfare Goods to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on July 7โ€“8, 2026.

This distribution primarily served beneficiaries from the five (5) barangays that were not covered during last year's distribution, ensuring that they also received the assistance they deserve. The activity reflects the Local Government Unit of Damulog's commitment to providing equitable and inclusive social services to all Persons with Disabilities, leaving no eligible beneficiary behind.

We sincerely thank all the beneficiaries for their patience and cooperation, as well as everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of this activity. Through continued collaboration and compassion, we remain dedicated to improving the lives of Persons with Disabilities.

Together, we continue to build a more inclusive, caring, and accessible Municipality of Damulog.

The Provincial Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) conducted the Monitoring of Seed Capital Assistance Beneficiaries (1st and 2nd Batch) to assess the progress and current status of the livelihood projects established through the Seed Capital Assistance Program held on June 17-19, 2026 to different barangays specifically Tangkulan, Anggaan, Kitingting, Lagandang, Omonay, Macapari, Old Damulog, Maican, Kiraon & Poblacion.

The monitoring activity aimed to evaluate the utilization of the assistance provided, identify challenges encountered by the beneficiaries, and identify appropriate interventions to support the sustainability and growth of their livelihood ventures.

The activity was facilitated by the Provincial PDAO with the assistance and coordination of the Local Government Unit (LGU) MSWDO/PDAO of Damulog, ensuring that the beneficiaries received the necessary support and guidance throughout the monitoring process.

This initiative reflects the commitment of both the Provincial Government and the Local Government Unit to promote economic empowerment, self-reliance, and improved quality of life among persons with disabilities through sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Together, we continue to advance inclusive development and strengthen programs that create meaningful opportunities for persons with disabilities in our communities.
