PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY

The City Government of Danao is aware of the circulating screenshot containing a message of threat that mentions three schools in Danao City— NCC, STC, and DT.

The matter has already been reported to and received by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Danao City, which is the lead agency handling the verification, security measures, and investigation. Appropriate police personnel are being deployed to ensure the security of the concerned areas and to assist in the ongoing investigation.

As this matter is currently under investigation, certain details cannot be disclosed at this time. We ask everyone to respect the investigation and refrain from speculation or the circulation of unverified information.

We appeal to parents, students, school personnel, and the entire community to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative. Students and members of the mentioned institutions are likewise advised to keep communication open and coordinate with their respective school heads and administrators for official updates and guidance.

We also strongly urge the public to refrain from forwarding or reposting the circulating screenshot and other unverified information, as this may unnecessarily cause fear and confusion.

If you have relevant information, please report it directly to the authorities.

Danao City Central School teachers happily received their portable voice amplifiers (lapel microphones), a valuable support from the Department of Education Philippines to enhance classroom instruction and promote better communication with learners.

This initiative helps our teachers deliver lessons more effectively while taking care of their voice—their most important teaching tool.

Rain or shine, learning never stopped at Danao City Central School! 🌦️💚

July was filled with meaningful experiences as DCCS successfully celebrated Nutrition Month and National Disaster Resilience Month—without compromising our learners’ instructional time.

Thanks to the strategic leadership of our School Principal, Mrs. Melgie A. Jopia, and the dedication of our PDO and DRRM Coordinator, Mrs. Allene Candice P. Tarongoy, all major activities were carefully scheduled after class hours. From Poster and Slogan Writing Contests, DRRM Quiz Bee, Rescue Relay, and the Learner-Parent Cooking Contest to the integration of Nutrition and DRRM lessons in the classroom, every activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, preparedness, and healthy living.

The celebration ended on a sweet and healthy note as many classes prepared fruit salad while others enjoyed fresh fruits together—reminding everyone that good nutrition begins with simple daily choices.

Despite the rainy days, the enthusiasm of our learners, parents, teachers, and staff never wavered. Indeed, when everyone works together, every challenge becomes an opportunity to learn and grow.

🏆 Congratulations to all our participants! We eagerly await the awarding of winners during next week’s Flag Raising Ceremony.

💚 Danao City Central School Celebrates Excellence in Scouting!

Danao City Central School proudly congratulates its dedicated Girl Scout leaders who were recognized during the Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Cebu Council Annual Council Meeting and Awards Ceremony held on July 18, 2026 at Holiday Plaza Hotel, Cebu City.

Our GSP Leaders received Bronze, Silver, Jade and Garnet Service Awards in recognition of their years of faithful service and unwavering commitment to the Girl Scout Movement.

Adding to this milestone, Danao City District 7 was also awarded 🥇 1st Place – Escoda Memento Fund (Elementary) for School Year 2025–2026, a testament to the collective dedication and generosity of our Girl Scouts, troop leaders, parents, and the entire school community during the Josefa Llanes Escoda Memorial Ceremony.

This achievement reflects the spirit of service, unity, and commitment that continues to define Danao City Central School’s Scouting program.

Another milestone. Another reason to celebrate.

Danao City Central School beams with pride as Sky Thomas Juntilla receives the Silver Award in the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO) 2026 Heat Round, formally recognized during the 2026 MOTLI Mid-Year Awards Ceremony held at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni, University of the Philippines Diliman.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to Sky’s dedication, perseverance, and love for Mathematics, nurtured through the guidance of his teachers and coaches and the unwavering support of his family. We are deeply grateful to our School Principal, Ma’am Melgie Jopia , whose presence at the ceremony reflected the school’s steadfast commitment to celebrating and supporting the achievements of our learners.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Ozaraga family for their warm hospitality and gracious welcome, making our stay in Manila truly comfortable and memorable.

While Sky had the honor of personally receiving his medal and certificate during the ceremony, this recognition is likewise shared with our other HKIMO awardees, whose medals and certificates will be received through shipment. We eagerly look forward to celebrating their well-deserved accomplishments with the entire DCCS community upon their arrival.
