In line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month 2026, the personnel of Dapitan City Fire Station, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐌 𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐀𝐒, 𝐑𝐄𝐄, Acting City Fire Marshal, successfully conducted the Formulation of the Community Fire Protection Plan (CFPP) and the Creation of the Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) at Brgy. Banonong, Dapitan City, in support of the 𝐎𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧: 𝐎𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧. 🔥🚒

The activity aimed to further strengthen fire safety awareness and enhance the community’s level of emergency preparedness through a coordinated and systematic approach. The CFPP serves as a comprehensive framework outlining strategies for fire prevention, suppression, and emergency response, while the CFAG acts as a vital support group composed of trained community volunteers who assist in the implementation of fire safety programs and during emergency situations.

Aligned with the objectives of the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Masterplan, this initiative underscores a proactive and science-based approach in building fire-resilient communities. It also reinforces the spirit of shared responsibility by empowering residents to actively take part as partners in safeguarding lives and properties from fire-related hazards. 🤝🔥

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐀𝐑𝐔𝐆𝐀 🤝❤️

In line with the continuous effort to extend care, compassion, and inclusive public service, 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐌 𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐀𝐒, 𝐑𝐄𝐄, Acting City Fire Marshal, together with the personnel of Dapitan City Fire Station, successfully conducted PROJECT ARUGA within its Area of Responsibility (AOR), Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.

The project focused on providing assistance to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and other vulnerable individuals in the community. Through a mobile and house-to-house approach, personnel personally delivered care packages containing essential goods, fire safety tools, and life-saving information directly to the beneficiaries.

As part of the initiative, fire safety leaflets and the EDITH (Exit Drills in the Home) guide were also distributed to help families become more prepared and responsive during fire emergencies. This hands-on approach ensured that vital information reached those who need it most, while fostering a sense of security, awareness, and community support.

This initiative highlights the unwavering commitment of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Dapitan City Fire Station in promoting not only fire safety but also inclusivity, compassion, and proactive community engagement.

The event was a heartwarming showcase of camaraderie, family support, and community spirit. Under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐋 𝐌 𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐀𝐒, 𝐑𝐄𝐄, Acting City Fire Marshal, the women personnel of Dapitan City Fire Station proudly joined the citywide Women’s Month Culmination Program held at the JRMSU Dapitan Covered Court, Dapitan City, celebrating unity, strength, and empowerment among women in public service.

Together with women from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), various government agencies, and representatives from different barangays of Dapitan City, the program highlighted the leadership, resilience, and invaluable contributions of Filipinas in fostering a more inclusive and progressive society under the guidance of City Mayor Hon. Evelyn T. Uy.

While BFP Dapitan joined the program to show support, the intermission performances were presented by various women groups, showcasing talent, creativity, and empowerment through music, dance, and cultural presentations. 💜

The activity aimed to provide the interns with a comprehensive understanding of fire service operations, roles, and responsibilities of firefighters in ensuring public safety. Through an informative station tour and engaging discussions, the participants were given the opportunity to observe actual firefighting equipment, apparatus, and operational procedures.

Moreover, the activity served as a platform to strengthen collaboration and awareness among future law enforcement professionals, highlighting the importance of coordination and preparedness in emergency response situations.
