“The most important thing one woman can do for another is to illuminate and expand her sense of actual possibilities if parents are responsive and understanding. - Ma. Priscilla Euripedes P. Bawalan, a Master Teacher II from TLE Department
Ma'am Daisy as she is fondly called by everyone in DIHS, believes that the essence of a woman is relevant to being a mother who cook, clean, nurture, and discipline; a wife who support, guide, and love relentlessly; and a colleague where within the workspaces, lead, create, and develop with courage and bravery repeatedly.
"And we do this all with style, class, and of course a little bit of sass."
She believes that the image and standards of a good teacher have been constantly changing within shifting social, cultural, and political contexts, but some essential qualities of excellent teachers remain unchanged and are embedded in the ways they teach the content, interact with students, and care for their well-being. Good teachers not only have practical wisdom and a sense of responsibility, but passion for education itself, and teach and educate in pursuit of possibilities of better lives not only for students, but for their better selves as well.
As someone who is look upon to in the department, the roles that colleagues assume, in and around a formal school setting, can be major factors in the professional lives of teachers. By roles, we refer to those activities by which one teacher, for instance, encourages another, discusses instruction with another, or mentors another.
A parent (if applicable) Parents are the child’s first role model. Children behave, react, and imitate the same as their parents. Parents play an important role in encouraging and motivating their kids to learn. Good parental support helps children to be positive, healthy, and good lifelong learners. Children acquire skills at the very early stage of their life if the parents are responsive.
