TO CHRISTIAN TAXPAYERS
Consider it blessing if we are one of those who pay taxes, because we are blessed enough to pay taxes. Jesus said, " Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's."
I have seen and heard people telling the world during this time of CRISIS "we are entitled of Government's Primary Subsidy because we are TAXPAYERS", "TAXPAYER kami kaya dapat kaming priority NG LAHAT NG GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY", sadly there are also Christians who do the same. But, while listening to wise people and remembering Jesus Christ on tax matters, I realized that it is a blessing if we are one of those who pay taxes. Paying TAXES is almost the same as THE ART OF TITHING, they even have the same purpose! Its just that TITHES were utilized by CHURCHES and TAXES were utilized by GOVERNMENT, which the LORD clearly instructed us to FOLLOW and OBEY. Should we express the same tone whenever we give our TITHES and OFFERINGS?
COUNTING BLESSINGS IN PAYING TAXES: A NEW PERSPECTIVE
I believe that, as follower of Christ, we should understand the meaning and purpose of TAX not just how to calculate the tax payable. I just thought that it is inappropriate to have the concept of "TAXPAYER KAMI, THUS, PRIORITY KAMI", considering the protection of your assets provided by the government. Pwede namang "Taxpayer kami. Thank you Lord!" We can still be grateful that we have a government that allows us to earn as much as we can and gather possessions as much as we can. There are countries who do not. So let the Government handle the tax collection and avoid feeling entitled.
There are still legal ways to minimize taxes, you just need a good TAX ASSISTANT (send us message now if you need help!!)
Paying Taxes to Caesar
Luk 20:19 And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
Luk 20:20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
Luk 20:21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
Luk 20:22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
Luk 20:23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
Luk 20:24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.
Luk 20:25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
Luk 20:26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.
