DCPO - PS17 BALIOK, in close coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd), continues to intensify its partnership under Oplan Balik-Eskwela for School Year 2026–2027 to ensure a safe, secure, and orderly return to classes nationwide.

As part of this Nationwide Effort, PS17 Baliok has deployed police personnel in strategic areas to provide security assistance, regulate traffic flow, enhance police visibility, and respond promptly to any untoward incidents. Police Assistance Desks are likewise established to address concerns from learners, parents, teachers, and school personnel.

The strengthened coordination between the PNP and DepEd aims to safeguard learners, educators, and the entire school community while promoting peace and order in and around educational institutions as the new academic year begins.

PS17 Baliok remains committed to ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment through community partnership, proactive policing, and public service.

On June 13, 2026, at 9:00 AM, PS17 Baliok conducted a BPATs (Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team) / Barangay Tanod Training and Seminar attended by the BPATs/Barangay Tanod of Barangay Bago Gallera, spearheaded by Hon. Rey P. Gervacio.

The activity was facilitated by PCpl Arnold Q. Mercado, SCAD Action PNCO and Pat Eric Ayog, Patroller under the direct supervision of 𝑷𝑴𝑨𝑱 𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑶𝑳𝑫 𝑺 𝑼𝑵𝑻𝑨𝑳𝑨𝑵, 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 who provided lectures and practical demonstrations on the roles and responsibilities of BPAT members, community safety awareness, crime prevention, and proper coordination with law enforcement authorities. Participants also underwent orientation and hands-on exercises on basic handcuffing techniques, emphasizing safety, proper procedures, and respect for human rights during lawful interventions.

This initiative aims to enhance the capability, preparedness, and professionalism of Barangay Tanods in supporting peace and order efforts within their community.

PS17 Baliok extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Rey P. Gervacio and all participating BPAT members for their active participation and commitment to public safety.
