𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗥𝗨𝗚-𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗

Barangay Lasang has achieved a significant milestone following its declaration as a Drug-Cleared Barangay under the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.

The deliberation and validation were conducted by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) at the Barangay Conference Room, Barangay Hall, Lasang, Davao City, August 28, 2026. The process formed part of the assessment and validation of the barangay’s compliance with the prescribed criteria and requirements for its declaration as Drug-Cleared.

The ROCBDC is composed of representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), and City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC).

Following the deliberation and validation, Barangay Lasang was found to have complied with and completed the necessary requirements for the current year, resulting in its declaration as a Drug-Cleared Barangay.

The achievement reflects the continuing implementation of programs and initiatives of the Barangay Local Government Unit of Lasang under the leadership of Punong Barangay Allan P. Simo-ag, in partnership with the Barangay Council, Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), concerned government agencies, and the community.

The declaration marks an important step in strengthening the barangay’s efforts against illegal drugs, advancing preventive initiatives, and promoting peace, order, and public safety within the community.

Barangay Lasang remains committed to sustaining collaborative efforts toward a peaceful, safe, and drug-cleared community.

The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Lasang facilitated the conduct of an inspection by the Commission on Audit (COA) covering Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and infrastructure projects implemented during Calendar Years 2024–2025.

The inspection was conducted by Glorie Mari-Paz Praise S. Varquez, State Auditor I, together with Keah T. Delgra, Audit Staff, as part of COA’s regular audit and verification activities.

The inspection serves as an important mechanism in ensuring that government purchases, programs, and infrastructure projects are properly accounted for, delivered, and implemented in accordance with existing government rules and regulations.

Barangay Lasang remains committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public funds, ensuring that purchased supplies and completed projects are properly documented and that infrastructure projects are visibly implemented for the benefit of the community.

Barangay Lasang recognizes the spirit of unity, faith, and service through the Interfaith Barangay Officials Appreciation Ceremony, organized by the Interfaith Religious Group of Barangay Lasang led by Pastor Rey Famor.

The activity highlighted the importance of continued cooperation, prayer, and collective service for the betterment of the community.

Barangay Lasang, through the leadership of Punong Barangay Allan P. Simo-ag, continues to support livelihood initiatives for local fisherfolk.

The turn-over of fish cages under the Norwegian Fish Cage Project, in partnership with DA-BFAR and the Davao City Agriculturist Office, was held on August 26, 2026 at the Community Fish Landing Center, Purok Scorpio, Sitio Bucana.

A meaningful step toward sustainable livelihood and empowered fisherfolk communities.

The Barangay Local Government of Lasang, in coordination with the CPDO and CEO, conducted an ocular inspection at Purok St. John, Sitio Bucana, and Purok Virgo, Sitio Licanan for the proposed Completion of Road with Drainage project.

The inspection supports the preparation of the Plan and Program of Works, Detailed Estimates, and Technical Specifications for the proposed project.
