๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ Lifeguard Training Orientation

The Municipal Tourism, Cultural Heritage and Arts Office (MTCHAO) conducted a brief orientation for applicants for the upcoming Lifeguard Training, in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The orientation provided applicants with important information on the training process, requirements, expectations, and responsibilities of a lifeguard, emphasizing the importance of water safety, preparedness, and lifesaving skills.

Through this initiative, MTCHAO, together with the Philippine Coast Guard, continues to promote safety and preparedness in Sta. Mariaโ€™s tourism destinations.

CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON MT. MONKEYAWA HIKING TRAIL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

A productive and successful consultative meeting was held today between the Municipal Government of Santa Maria and the affected landowners regarding the proposed Mt. Monkeyawa Hiking Trail Development Project, presided over by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Claude Benjamin II D. Bautista.

The meeting served as a vital platform for open dialogue, where both parties discussed, clarified, and agreed upon the respective responsibilities of the Local Government Unit and the landowners for the development and sustainable management of the hiking trail.

Our sincere gratitude to Hon. Claude Benjamin II D. Bautista, Municipal Mayor, for his continued support and commitment to the development of tourism initiatives in the Municipality of Sta. Maria.

Also,we extend our deepest gratitude to the Municipal Hiking Trail Development Project Team, Barangay Council of Poblacion, San Agustin and Sto. Today, the Municipality of Sta. Maria officially opens Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, bringing together the young people from all 22 barangays in a celebration of talent, sportsmanship, leadership, friendship, and community.

The opening parade filled the streets with the energy and enthusiasm of Sta. Mariaโ€™s youth, as barangays, schools, youth organizations, and participating groups came together to mark the beginning of a week dedicated to recognizing the important role of the youth in our community.

From the raising of the banner to the lighting of the torch, every moment symbolizes our collective commitment to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to participate, lead, and make a difference.

This celebration would not be possible without the people who continue to support and believe in the potential of our youth. Our sincere gratitude goes to Municipal Mayor Claude Benjamin II D. Bautista (Mayor Dinko Bautista) for his continued support and commitment to youth development, and to Miss Amalia Lin S. Cabangbang, LYDO Coordinator, for her leadership and dedication in making Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 possible.

The Municipal Government of Sta. Maria through the Municipal Tourism, Cultural Heritage and Arts Office, in collaboration with the Municipal Treasurerโ€™s Office, successfully conducted the meeting on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Municipal SB Session Hall to discuss the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Municipal Ordinance No. 15, Series of 2026.

This ordinance amends Section 69 โ€“ Tourist Registration Fee and Section 70 โ€“ Environmental Fee of Municipal Ordinance No. 12, Series of 2023, as revised by Municipal Ordinance No. 08, Series of 2026.

The meeting was actively attended by the Punong Barangay of the host barangays with tourist attractions, whose valuable insights and participation will ensure the proper, transparent and effective implementation of the ordinance.
