The Municipality of Laak, Davao de Oro proudly recognizes the active participation of 32 Municipal Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPOs) who stepped into public service with enthusiasm, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to their fellow young people and community.

Through this meaningful activity, our JYPOs gained valuable experience in leadership, governance, teamwork, decision-making, and public service, helping them understand that leadership is not only about holding a position—it is about listening, taking action, and serving with purpose.

In line with "Gwapong Serbisyo," this initiative focuses on developing young leaders who demonstrate good character, accountability, compassion, and service excellence. It is a step toward nurturing a generation of youth who are not only prepared to lead, but are also willing to serve and contribute to the development of Laak.

Kudos to our 32 Junior Youth Public Officials! May this experience inspire you to continue leading with integrity, serving with heart, and becoming catalysts for positive change in our community.

Congratulations to all applicants who successfully passed the initial screening and have qualified to proceed to the written examination. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to youth leadership have earned you this opportunity to take the next step in the selection process for the Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) Program 2026.

The SK Functionality Assessment (SKFA) 2026 successfully concluded on July 15–16, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall, Laak, Davao de Oro.

The two-day assessment showcased the Sangguniang Kabataan's commitment to strengthening youth governance, promoting accountability, and ensuring compliance with established standards for effective leadership and public service.

A heartfelt thank you to all participating Sangguniang Kabataan officials for your dedication, cooperation, and active participation throughout the assessment. Your commitment to serving the youth of your respective barangays is truly commendable.

Special thanks to the SKFA Assessors for your time, professionalism, and invaluable efforts in conducting a fair and thorough assessment. Your guidance and dedication play a vital role in empowering SK leaders and advancing good youth governance.

The Municipality of Laak proudly celebrates the successful conduct of the 2026 Sangguniang Kabataan Functionality Assessment (SKFA) and extends its heartfelt congratulations to all Sangguniang Kabataan Councils for their unwavering commitment to advancing youth development through Gwapong Serbisyo, Excellence, and Good Governance.
The SK Functionality Assessment recognizes the efforts of every SK Council in complying with the key indicators that promote effective, transparent, and accountable youth governance. This year's assessment focused on the following five (5) core indicators
