Teachers of Kimamon National High School received portable lapel microphones from the Department of Education (DepEd), reinforcing the agency's commitment to equipping educators with essential instructional tools that enhance teaching effectiveness and improve students' learning experience on July 15, 2026
The distribution was spearheaded by School Principal Leomar A. Liboon, who personally turned over the portable lapel microphones to the school's teaching personnel. The devices are expected to help teachers project their voices clearly, reduce vocal fatigue, and facilitate more engaging classroom discussions.
Principal Liboon described the initiative as an investment in both teachers and learners.
"We are investing in the success of our learners by empowering our teachers with the tools they need to teach effectively. These portable lapel microphones may seem simple, but they make a meaningful difference in helping teachers communicate clearly, sustain their energy throughout the day, and create a more engaging learning environment. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Education for this valuable support," Liboon said.
Teachers welcomed the distribution, saying the equipment would improve classroom instruction and make teaching more comfortable.
"As teachers, our voices are among our most important tools. Having a portable lapel microphone allows us to teach without constantly raising our voices, especially in larger classrooms and during interactive activities. We are grateful to DepEd and to our school administration for prioritizing our welfare and helping us become more effective educators," Ma. Josephine Diaz, a Grade 9 teacher, said.
Andresa Castro, a Grade 10 teacher, noted that the microphones would encourage greater student participation during lessons.
"The microphone gives us the freedom to move around the classroom while maintaining clear communication with our learners. It supports a more dynamic teaching approach where students remain engaged because they can hear instructions and discussions clearly," She said.
The distribution of portable lapel microphones reflects DepEd's continuing efforts to strengthen the quality of education by providing teachers with practical resources that support effective instruction. For Kimamon National High School, the initiative highlights the shared commitment of the Department and the school community to empowering educators and creating better learning opportunities for every learner.
