๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | Ensuring compliance with local legal practice requirements and industry standards, and keeping technical skills sharp and up-to-date with changing trends, LtCol Derman R Impas CE (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 534th Engineer Construction (Pacesetter) Battalion, 52nd Engineer (Kaayadan) Brigade, Philippine Army, attended the Master Plumbers of the Philippines Mindanao Convention 2026 conducted on 13-14 August 2026 at the Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Davao City.
The National Master Plumbers Association of the Philippines, Inc (NAMPAP), which organized the activity with the theme: โStand Proud with Excellence towards Resiliency, Innovation, and Nation Building.โ LTC Impas was a bona fide member of NAMPAP - Davao City Chapter.
The activity was instrumental in bringing all professionals in the construction industry from different disciplines. It was attended by Civil Engineers, Architects, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, a Sanitary Engineer, and even Environmental Planners. It works closely with government agencies, educational institutions, and industry partners to enhance technical expertise, protect public safety, and elevate the profession.
Secretary Leo Tereso A. Magno, Chairperson, Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), was invited as an Inspirational Speaker during the event. In his message, โYet government action alone is not enough. Progress depends on professionals who transform expertise into service. Every pipe laid delivers more than water; it delivers dignity, opportunity, and hope. The measure of your profession lies in the lives uplifted by your dedication and integrity.โ
Curated convention topics reflect the modern challenges and advancements in different fields that include: the Swimming Pool Plumbing Maintenance, the LPG System Design and Considerations, the AI-Assisted EPANET Modeling, the Planning and Implementation of Drainage Systems, and the Davao City Water District (DCWD) facilities Educational Tour from Septage Treatment Plant at Brgy. Indangan, to the Talomo Sump Station, and to the Production Well at Catalunan Grande.
