Under the leadership of the Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, and through the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director of BFP XI, with the supervision of 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur, and through the efforts of FINSP 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗬 𝗚 𝗧𝗔𝗝𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗦, Municipal Fire Marshal of Kiblawan, the Bureau of Fire Protection Davao del Sur marked another significant milestone with the signing of the Deed of Donation of Lot for the Balasiao Fire Sub-Station in Barangay Balasiao, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur.

The signing was graced by the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗥. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮, with 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director, BFP Region XI, duly represented by the Assistant Regional Director for Operations, 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗠 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗔𝗬. The donation reflects the strong partnership between the Local Government Unit of Kiblawan and the Bureau of Fire Protection, united in strengthening fire protection and emergency response services for the community.

This milestone brings the people of Balasiao and nearby communities one step closer to having a dedicated fire sub-station that will provide faster and more accessible emergency response. More than a donated property, this is an investment in public safety, community resilience, and the protection of lives and properties.

Under the leadership of the Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, and 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director of BFP XI, the BFP Davao del Sur Provincial Office, under the supervision of 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur, continues to strengthen partnerships with local government leaders in advancing public safety and fire protection.

𝚂𝚝𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚍 𝚋𝚢 𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚗𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚙, 𝚄𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚒𝚗 𝚂𝚎𝚛𝚟𝚒𝚌𝚎.

The Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur, together with the City Fire Marshal and Municipal Fire Marshals, paid a courtesy call on 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗬𝘃𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗼ñ𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿, and 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝗩 𝗖. 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 of Davao del Sur.

The courtesy call served as a meaningful gesture of respect, gratitude, and commitment to fostering stronger collaboration in advancing public safety and protecting the lives and properties of the people of Davao del Sur.

From August 18–22, 2026, Barangay Dawis, Digos City, Davao del Sur became the proving ground for the recently concluded WASSAR Training.

Five days of controlled pressure, demanding drills, technical learning, and relentless teamwork—designed for one purpose: 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.

Because rescue is not about being fearless.
It is about being trained enough to think clearly when fear is inevitable.

When seconds matter, instinct is not enough.
Skill matters.
Judgment matters.
Discipline matters.

We don't train for applause.
We train for the moment when someone is fighting to survive—and we are the ones expected to act.

Guided by the leadership of the Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, and through the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director of BFP XI, with the supervision of 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur.

Selected personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) from Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte came together at Dawis, Digos City, Davao del Sur for an intense and demanding Water Search and Rescue (WASSAR) Training.

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚, culminating in a Closing Program graced by our Guest of Honor and Speaker, 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗠 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗕𝗔𝗬.

This was more than just a training. It was a test of strength, courage, discipline, teamwork, and determination.

Every wave challenged their endurance. Every drill demanded precision. Every situation tested their ability to remain calm under pressure. But they pushed forward. No backing down. No shortcuts. No excuses.

Because when the call for rescue comes, preparation becomes the difference between hope and despair. The WASSAR Training may have ended, but the mission continues.

On 16 August 2026, selected personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection participated in a Mangrove Tree Planting Activity initiated by 𝙰𝚂𝙴𝚉 𝚆𝙰𝙾, an international environmental volunteer organization composed of young adult workers from the World Mission Society Church of God, with the mission of promoting environmental protection and sustainable communities.

The activity brought together volunteers in a collective effort to nurture and restore mangrove ecosystems—an important step toward protecting our coastal environment, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening community resilience against natural hazards.

Beyond our commitment to saving lives and protecting properties, the BFP continues to support initiatives that promote environmental stewardship and disaster resilience. Through meaningful partnerships and collective action, we can help build communities that are not only safer, but greener and more sustainable.

Last 18 August 2026 marks the official Opening Ceremony of the 5-𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙚 (𝙒𝘼𝙎𝙎𝘼𝙍) 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 at Matti Barangay Hall, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

The event was honored by the presence of 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗟𝗜𝗡 𝗢 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗟, Representative of the BFP Regional Director. A total of 25 selected BFP Region 11 personnel will undergo intensive training over the next five days to sharpen their disaster response and water rescue capabilities.

As these 25 personnel embark on 5 days of rigorous physical and tactical exercises, BFP Region 11 reaffirms its dedication to enhancing disaster preparedness and safeguarding every community across Davao del Sur. Stay safe, stay ready!

Through the leadership of 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, Regional Director of BFP Region XI, personnel from various offices within Region XI rendered a courtesy call to the Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur, 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, represented by our Chief, Administrative Branch, 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗘𝗟𝗦𝗜𝗘 𝗠 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗭𝗔.
