On September 23, 2026, the Operational Readiness, Site Inspection and Troop Evaluation (ORSITE) Team, headed by the newly installed Provincial Fire Marshal 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗢𝗘𝗟 𝗔 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘 and Deputy PFM 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗢 𝗩 𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡, conducted an operational assessment at Digos City Fire Station, and Fire Sub-Stations from Matti and Aplaya, Davao del Sur.

The activity was carried out under the leadership and guidance of the Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, and Regional Director, BFP Region XI, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢.

The evaluation focused on administrative compliance, operational readiness, station condition and maintenance, and emergency response capabilities. Through regular assessment and continuous improvement, BFP Davao del Sur remains committed to strengthening operational preparedness and delivering efficient, reliable, and responsive fire and emergency services to the communities it serves.

Under the leadership of the Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, and Regional Director, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal Davao del Sur, headed by 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, paid a courtesy call on the newly installed Head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Davao del Sur, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗕. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝗮𝘆.

The courtesy call underscored the BFP Davao del Sur’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency coordination and fostering collaborative efforts in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and risk reduction, in support of a safer and more resilient Davao del Sur community.

The ORSITE Team, headed by Provincial Fire Marshal 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, conducted an operational assessment and inspection at Hagonoy Fire Station, Poso Fire Sub-Station and Padada Fire Station, Davao del Sur.

The conduct of the activity forms part of the continuing efforts of the Bureau of Fire Protection to ensure that fire stations and personnel remain prepared, capable, and responsive in the delivery of emergency and public safety services.

Guided by the leadership of the Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, and Regional Director, BFP Region XI, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, the evaluation focused on key areas of administrative compliance, operational preparedness, station condition and maintenance, as well as the overall readiness of personnel and resources for emergency response.

On September 07, 2026, the Operational Readiness, Site Inspection and Troop Evaluation (ORSITE) Team, led by the Provincial Fire Marshal 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡 conducted a comprehensive evaluation at Sulop Fire Station, Davao del Sur.
The activity was conducted under the leadership and guidance of the Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨 and Regional Director, BFP Region XI, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢.

The activity aimed to assess administrative compliance, operational readiness, station maintenance, and overall emergency response capabilities to ensure alignment with standard operating procedures and service excellence.

Through continuous evaluation and improvement, BFP Davao del Sur remains committed to maintaining high standards of public safety and emergency service for the community of Sulop and surrounding areas.

The meeting served as an avenue to discuss ongoing operational updates, strategic initiatives, and key priorities aimed at further strengthening fire protection and public safety services across the province of Davao del Sur.

The engagement likewise highlighted the importance of close coordination and alignment with the guidance and leadership of the Bureau’s higher officials.

Under the leadership of the Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, with the guidance of the Regional Director, 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗟𝗗𝗘 𝗠 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢, and through the leadership of the Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Davao del Sur, 𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗔𝗘𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡, the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal of BFP Davao del Sur and the University of Mindanao Digos College officially forged a 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗠𝗢𝗔) today, September 09, 2026, at the UM Digos Campus, Roxas Extension, Zone II, Digos City.

This milestone collaboration bridges public safety and academic excellence, empowering youth leadership, expanding emergency preparedness training, and fostering a proactive culture of fire safety among students, faculty, and the broader community. Thank you, Dr. Tessie G. Miralles, VP-Branch Operations of UMDC for the warm welcome and bringing this ceremony into reality.

Together, BFP Davao del Sur and UM Digos College stand united in building safer schools, responsive future leaders, and a disaster-resilient province.
