Nagpakita og kusog nga panaghiusa ug pagtinabangay ang Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD XI) ug ang Lokal nga Panggamhanan sa Digos sa paghatag og relief assistance sa mga apektadong pamilya tungod sa linog sa Barangay Sinawilan, Digos City.

Pinaagi sa SWADO Davao del Sur – Crisis Intervention Unit sa DSWD XI, inubanan sa City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) ug City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) sa LGU Digos, naghatag ang maong ahensya og Family Food Packs ngadto sa 233 ka pamilya sa Barangay Sinawilan. Ang matag pack naglangkob og 6 ka kilo nga bugas, 10 ka canned goods, 5 sachets sa kape, ug 5 sachets sa soup powder/choco malt aron matabangan ang ilang adlaw-adlaw nga panginahanglan human makasinati sa epekto sa kalamidad.

Gabantay usab para sa hapsay ug malinawon nga distribution pinaagi sa presensya sa Digos City Police Station (CPS) nga gipangulohan ni Chief of Police PLtCol. Norman Yparraguirre, uban sa uban pang mga personnel nga nagtabang sa crowd control ug seguridad sa lugar, inubanan sa Barangay Government of Sinawilan nga gipangulohan ni Punong Barangay Bobby Palmero.

Gawas sa pagpanghatag og Family Food Packs, nagpadayon usab ang maong grupo sa paglibot sa lain-laing mga barangay diin adunay mga balay nga totally damaged tungod sa 7.0 magnitude nga linog niadtong June 8, 2026. Gipahigayon ang validation sa mga apektadong indibidwal, lakip na ang pag-assess sa ilang mga panimalay nga grabeng natumpag, aron masiguro nga mahatagan sila og hustong assistance ug suporta gikan sa gobyerno. Naghatag usab ang DSWD XI og pinansyal nga tabang nga nagkantidad og Php10,000.00 sa mga TOTALLY DAMAGED nga balay ning maong linog.

Ang atong panaghiusa ug pagtinabangay maoy kusog nga sandigan sa pagbangon sa matag pamilya nga naapektuhan sa kalamidad.

The City Government of Digos proudly participates in the 2026 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) Provincial Validation, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to safeguarding and promoting the rights and welfare of every child in the community.

This annual assessment serves as a vital mechanism in evaluating the effectiveness of local programs, policies, services, and initiatives anchored on the five pillars of child rights: survival, development, protection, participation, and good governance. Through this process, the LGU continues to strengthen its efforts in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive.

The conduct of the audit reflects the collaborative and collective efforts of various offices and stakeholders of the LGU of Digos, particularly the City Local Government Operations Office (CLGOO), City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Health Office (CHO), City Budget Office (CBO), Department of Education (DepEd), City Accounting Office (CAO), City Treasurer's Office (CTO), partner agencies, and non-government organizations (NGOs), all working together toward a child-responsive and child-friendly governance system.

A major milestone unfolds in Digos City as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI officially inaugurates its Provincial Operations Office (POO) on April 30, 2026, at Barangay Matti—marking the first operational facility within the 21-hectare New Digos City Government Center.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) proudly joins this significant event, which reflects a stronger commitment to bringing social services closer to the people—faster, more efficient, and more responsive to the needs of every Digoseños.

The turnover and blessing ceremony was graced by 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐃 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐗𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐡𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐃. Now fully operational starting May 4, 2026, the Crisis Intervention Section (CIS) ensures immediate and compassionate assistance to individuals and families in crisis—making help more accessible when it matters most.

The City Government of Digos reaffirms its steadfast support to the DSWD Crisis Intervention Section of Davao del Sur, further strengthening its capacity to deliver timely and life-saving assistance—not only for the people of Digos City, but for the entire province of Davao del Sur.

Alamin: Gabay sa Pagkuha ng Solo Parent Identification Card (S**C)

Sa pagdiriwang ng Solo Parent Week, patuloy nating kinikilala ang lakas at sakripisyo ng bawat solo parent. At kahit tapos na ang selebrasyon, hindi humihinto ang pamahalaan sa paghahatid ng mga programa at serbisyong nakalaan para sa inyo.

Kung ikaw ay isang solo parent at nais makakuha ng Solo Parent Identification Card (S**C), mahalagang malaman ang mga benepisyong maaari mong ma-avail sa ilalim ng RA 11861 o Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act. Ang S**C ang magsisilbing dokumento para ma-access ang mga suportang inilaan para sa inyong kapakanan.

Alamin kung saang kategorya ka kabilang bilang solo parent at ihanda ang mga kinakailangang requirements. Para sa aplikasyon, makipag-ugnayan at magtungo sa inyong Local Government Unit (LGU), na siyang nangangasiwa sa pagproseso at pag-iisyu ng S**C.

Sa DSWD, hindi ka nag-iisa sa iyong pag-iisa.
