The City Government of Digos, through the City Treasurer’s Office, announces the implementation of the Real Property Tax Amnesty under RA No. 12001 (RPVARA), covering unpaid real property taxes incurred prior to July 5, 2024, with the waiver of penalties, surcharges, and interest.

All qualified taxpayers are encouraged to avail of this program on or before July 5, 2026.

LOOK | Investment Programming Meeting Conducted Today at Avenue One Hotel

The Local Economic and Development Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO) convened an Investment Programming Meeting today at Avenue One Hotel to review priority initiatives and strengthen internal coordination in preparation for the 2026 development cycle.

The session focused on reinforcing teamwork, collaboration, and the convergence of ideas, recognizing these as essential in establishing a proactive and productive Economic Development approach for 2026.

LEDIPO personnel discussed strategic priorities, assessed ongoing programs, and explored opportunities to enhance implementation, resource planning, and overall support for local economic development.

The meeting reaffirmed LEDIPO’s commitment to advancing a unified and development-oriented agenda as the office prepares for a more responsive and forward-looking 2026.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Meeting on Proposed Port and Logistics Hub Development

Under the leadership of Mayor Josef Cagas, the City Government of Digos continues to strengthen efforts toward infrastructure development and investment promotion.

A coordination meeting was held today at the Metro Davao Economic Zone (MDEZ) with a potential partnership with China Construction to discuss the proposed International Port and Logistics Hub project. The discussion focused on project concept and components, site expansion possibilities, technical and logistical requirements, and the proposed development of access and bypass roads to improve mobility and connectivity to the identified area.

This meeting marks another proactive step of the City Government under Mayor Josef Cagas’ leadership in strengthening partnerships and paving the way for transformative infrastructure that will position Digos City as a competitive hub for trade, logistics, and investment in the region.

LOOK | Review of the Memorandum of Agreement for the HUMABAAS Sustainable Livelihood Development

The Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO) of Digos City participated in a coordination meeting with the Department of Science and Technology XI (DOST XI), Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), and the Hugpong ng Mananagat sa Badiang Association (HUMABAAS) to review the draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that will formalize their partnership.

The proposed agreement seeks to:
- Strengthen technological support and training through DSSC;
- Provide science-based solutions from DOST XI to boost productivity and innovation;
- Support HUMABAAS in sustainable livelihood development, particularly in fish processing; and
- Reinforce LGU Digos’ role in creating an enabling environment for inclusive local economic growth.

The review process ensures that all parties’ commitments are aligned towards fostering collaboration, empowering community-based organizations, and advancing Digos City’s vision of innovation-driven and people-centered development.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The City Government of Digos, represented by City Administrator Rex Cagas and Assistant City Administrator / Acting LEDIPO Raquel Marie L. Chiong, took part in the Industry Site Tour of the 27th Davao Agri-Trade Expo (DATE) and the 8th Davao Investment Conference (ICON) on September 20, 2025, at the Mindanao Development Economic Zone (MDEZ) Compound, Digos City.

The activity was facilitated by MDEZ President Dr. Malou Monteverde, who presented investment-ready facilities and opportunities within the economic zone. The tour also served as a platform for business linkages and partnership-building among participating companies and institutions.

In attendance were representatives from Vibrant Drones, MTIT-BARMM, Landers, Holiday Group, Philippine Airlines, Prime Philippines, Pilmico Foods Corp., Zegen, Davao del Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Digos City Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Through this engagement, LGU Digos strengthens its networks and investment promotion efforts, supporting its vision of positioning the city as the City of Choice to live, work, do business, and visit.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (LEDIPO) of Digos City attended the 27th Davao Agri-Trade Expo (DATE) and the 8th Davao Investment Conference (ICON) on September 19, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.

With the theme “Beyond Borders: Navigating the New Frontier,” the event gathered investors, agribusiness leaders, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to explore opportunities for trade and investment across Mindanao.

Through its participation, LEDIPO was able to gain insights and identify potential industries and business ventures that may be developed and nurtured in Digos City. These learnings will help strengthen the city’s investment promotion strategies, create meaningful linkages, and support the growth of local enterprises.

The activity reaffirms Digos City’s continuing effort to strengthen its role as the City of Choice for investors, where opportunities for growth and collaboration are nurtured for the benefit of every Digoseño.
