The Regional Director shared heartfelt guidance and encouragement, highlighting professionalism, dedication, and the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance โš–๏ธ๐Ÿ’ก. DIGOS CITY โ€” Fourth batch criminology interns conducted a parlor games and outreach activity with Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at the Digos City District Jail โ€“ Female Dormitory (DCDJ-FD) on April 15, 2026, as part of their immersive engagement in correctional learning and penology exposure.

The initiative featured parlor games designed to promote recreation, camaraderie, and psychosocial engagement among PDL.

As part of the Host Training Establishment (HTE) program, the activity allowed interns to immerse themselves in a correctional setting, deepening their understanding of penology, jail operations, and rehabilitation-focused approaches beyond classroom learning. It also formed part of their on-the-job training exposure to actual jail management practices under BJMP supervision.

In addition, the interns distributed toiletries to PDL as part of their outreach initiative, helping address basic needs while boosting morale and demonstrating compassion and social responsibility.

The activity highlighted BJMPโ€™s continuing support for experiential learning, where criminology interns are given opportunities to actively engage with PDL while developing skills in correctional management and community relations under professional guidance.

DIGOS CITY โ€” In celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month 2026, female personnel of the Digos City District Jailโ€“Female Dormitory (DCDJ-FD) together with PCDS Female Criminology Interns conducted a community outreach activity on March 31, 2026, at Purok Sentinnial, Barangay Tiguman.

The activity aimed to extend support and goodwill to the community through a feeding program, storytelling session, and gift-giving initiative. A total of 60 children from the area participated and benefited from the event, enjoying a warm serving of champorado and receiving school supplies.

The outreach highlighted the BJMPโ€™s commitment to community engagement and its continued support for programs that promote care, education, and empowerment, especially among young members of the community.

The initiative forms part of the agencyโ€™s efforts to meaningfully celebrate Womenโ€™s Month by fostering compassion and service beyond jail facilities.

JO2 Jerrylyn B Rocacorba shared valuable insights about the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), highlighting its roles, responsibilities, and the opportunities it offers for aspiring women in uniform. The activity aimed to inspire, educate, and empower young women to pursue careers in public service and leadership.

Gipahigayon ang kalihokan pinaagi sa imbitasyon sa Office of the Governor aron ipakita ang abilidad, kaisog, ug kultura sa mga kababayen-an sa probinsya.

Gikatigom sa kompetisyon ang nagkalain-laing partisipante gikan sa mga ahensya sa gobyerno, diin gipakita dili lamang ang talento kondili usab ang panaghiusa ug pagpalig-on sa kababayen-an sa serbisyo publiko.

Sa ilang pasundayag, gipakita sa BJMP female personnel ang kahapsay, disiplina, ug panagtinabangay pinaagi sa usa ka makapadani nga sayaw nga naghiusa sa modernong lihok ug tradisyonal nga inspirasyon gikan sa lokal nga kultura.

Sumala sa BJMP, ang ilang partisipasyon nagpakita sa ilang dedikasyon sa holistic nga paglambo sa ilang mga miyembroโ€”dili lamang sa propesyonal nga serbisyo, kondili usab sa pagpalambo sa kahibalo sa kultura ug paghatag gahum sa kababayen-an.
