𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡-𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗞 𝗥𝗧𝗙 𝗫𝗜𝗜𝗜 & 𝗫 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

June 4, 2026 | The Province of Dinagat Islands proudly hosted the 2nd Quarter Sangguniang Kabataan Regional Task Force (SK RTF) Meeting for Regions XIII and X, bringing together youth leaders, government partners, and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and advance youth development initiatives across the regions.

The meeting formally commenced with an Opening Message from Provincial Youth Development Officer, Mr. James C. Borja, LPT, followed by an inspiring message from Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr., who reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to empowering the youth and supporting programs that foster meaningful participation in governance and community development.

Key agenda items discussed presided by Ms. Karenne B. Añover, Cluster Head - Regions 10 & 13 during the meeting included the approval of the agenda and previous minutes, updates on resolutions from the previous meeting, PYDP-based issues and concerns, accomplishment reports on identified priority agendas, regional collaboration strategies, local compliance situational updates, SK-related policies, announcements, and other matters affecting the youth sector.

A special recognition was also given to Hon. Kim Valeri A. Tampon, SK Federation President of the Municipality of San Jose, for the invaluable support and efforts in hosting the regional gathering, reflecting the municipality’s commitment to youth leadership and regional cooperation.

The activity concluded with a Closing Message from Hon. Sheena Marie C. Perez, SK Federation President of Dinagat Islands, who expressed gratitude to all participants and encouraged continued collaboration in advancing programs and initiatives that will create lasting positive impacts for the youth of Regions XIII and X.

Through unity, cooperation, and shared commitment, the SK Regional Task Force continues to serve as a vital platform for strengthening youth governance and ensuring that the voices of young people remain at the forefront of development efforts.

🏆 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗬 | 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Youth Summit & Leadership Camp 2026 culminated with a meaningful Awarding Ceremony recognizing the outstanding creativity, environmental awareness, and active participation of the youth delegates.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the 𝗘𝗰𝗼-𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 competition, where participants showcased innovative and inspiring fashion pieces made from recyclable and eco-friendly materials. Beyond style and creativity, the competition served as a powerful reminder of the youth's role in promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable practices within our communities.

The organizers likewise extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Vice Governor Jade B. Ecleo, represented during the activity by Sir Sanny Seco, for their generous sponsorship of Lechon Baboy and Ice Cream for all participants. Their support added joy and excitement to the celebration and reflected a shared commitment to empowering and appreciating the young leaders of Dinagat Islands.

Congratulations to all awardees and participants for making this year's Youth Summit & Leadership Camp a memorable and impactful experience. May the lessons learned, friendships built, and leadership values strengthened continue to inspire positive action beyond the camp.

The second day of the Youth Summit & Leadership Camp 2026 was filled with meaningful learning, camaraderie, and exciting team-building activities facilitated by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Through engaging games and interactive exercises, participants were encouraged to strengthen their leadership skills, foster teamwork, improve communication, and develop a deeper sense of responsibility towards their communities and the environment. These activities served as a platform for the youth to build trust, enhance collaboration, and embrace the values of unity, discipline, and active citizenship.

Present during the activity were Sheena Marie C. Perez, SK Federated President of Dinagat Islands; James C. Borja, Youth Development Officer IV Designate; and Kim Valeri A. Tampon, SK Federated President of San Jose, who joined and supported the young leaders throughout the event.

As we continue to empower the youth, may this gathering inspire every participant to become catalysts of positive change and responsible leaders in their respective communities.

A meaningful and spirit-filled Fellowship Night where faith, values, and youth empowerment came together as one.

Led by Pastor Debbie Durano, District 2 Board Member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the gathering reminded everyone of the importance of strengthening not only our skills and leadership but also our relationship with God and our moral values.

It was a fun-filled day together with our participants, expert speakers, and the Provincial Youth Development Council.

Through the leadership of Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr., this youth development activity was realized, giving importance to shaping the youth and enhancing their skills, as they play a crucial role in society.

The camp included lectures and awareness sessions on Disaster Risk Reduction Management, HIV 101, Mental Health, and other important laws discussed through the PNP, among many others. These activities ensured that teamwork and discipline were practiced and strengthened through the active participation of the attendees.
