PHILIPPINE NATIONAL HEROES DAY COMMEMORATION 2026
Today, August 31, 2026, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of our nation’s heroes who dedicated their lives in the service of the Filipino people.
It was an honor for Hon. Ronald O. Luib, Sr., Member, Sangguniang Panlalawigan, to be part of this year’s Philippine National Heroes Day Commemoration, where he delivered the Welcome Address.
In his message, Hon. Luib emphasized that heroism is not limited to the great figures of our history. Our heroes are also the people who are with us every day—our mothers and fathers, our families, and ordinary Filipinos who quietly make sacrifices, persevere through challenges, and dedicate themselves to the welfare of others. Their everyday acts of love, courage, and service are also a reflection of true heroism.
The commemoration was led by the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office, with the participation of Provincial Department Heads, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), National Line Agencies, and capitol employees, who gathered to pay tribute to the heroes whose sacrifices helped shape our nation.
May this day remind us that heroism lives not only in our history books, but also in the people around us who continue to serve, sacrifice, and care for others every day.
