But among all of the heroes this world has ever had
There is not one admired more than the guy I called Dad
Perhaps, not like the others, he doesn't look for praise
He's heroic in his special way, in his thoughtful caring ways
Perhaps, he's not as famous as the others that you see
But he's everything and so much more that heroes ought to be
He keeps his word, as good as gold, on this you can depend
He's honest and he's loyal to, he's also a true friend
When I hear about a hero, and the great things they have done,
It reminds me of my father, He is the greatest one.

Getting vaccinated against Covid-19 is part of military readiness and very essential in their outdoor duty.

With regards to this matter, The Camp Siongco Station Hospital (CSSH) in partner with IPHO conducted a Covid-19 Booster shot Vaccination to the Organic Personnel, Training Models, Trainees and Candidate Soldiers of the 6th Division Training School.

The 6th Division Training School, headed by MAJ RODRIGO F VITUG JR (INF) PA, Assistant Commandant of the School, participated in Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in celebration of 124th Philippine Independence Day and was attended by Organic Personnel, Training Models, and Trainees.

In CGPA's message, he applauded the effort of the Philippine Army for maintaining peace and continuing their best to fight for stability and prosperity of the country.

Terrorist NPA killed in Sultan Kudarat encounter

Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – Another remnant of the dismantled Communist Terrorist Group perished after an encounter ensued between terrorist NPA and the government security forces in Barangay Baluan, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat Wednesday morning at 7:30 am (June 8, 2022).

According to 603rd Infantry (Persuader) Brigade Commander, Colonel Michael Santos the troops encountered more or less three (3) members believed to be remnants of the dismantled Guerilla Front Daguma East and West, Sub-Regional Command Daguma (SRC-Daguma), Far South Mindanao Region (FSMR) at the said place.

“The casualty identified as Kalisa Kumpow based on his identification card found and recovery of M16 rifle with one magazine loaded with ten (10) live ammunitions on it”, said Col. Santos.

The cadaver was brought by operating troops to the Community Support Program (CSP) Operators of Charlie Company under 7IB at Sitio Miagsong, Brgy. Baluan, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat for proper disposition. The cadaver of the slain CTG member was turned-over to his family while the local government gave the necessary assistance to cater the needs.

Col. Santos also said that the use of violence will never resolve the problems and it will just make things complicated.

“The recent encounter that led to the untimely demise of one member of CTG believed to be remnant of dismantled Guerilla Front Daguma East and West may serve as a wake-up call for those remaining members who are still blinded by the wrong ideology”, he implied.

On the other hand, Brig. Gen. Eduardo Gubat, Acting Division Commander of 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Joint Task Force Central said “As much as possible, we don’t want lives to be wasted, because we don’t want to see families suffer from the loss of their family members and loved ones”, he further clarified.

“Thus, I am making calls for the remnants of the CTGs in the area to surrender and accept the programs and services being offered by the government”, addressing further the remaining CTG members.

For this year, 85 members of the CTG’s successfully surrendered and denounced their affiliations on the leftist group while five (5) died in the encounter including the recent casualty.

When we entered the training school,
We thought you were unmerciful,
You make us run every time and everywhere,
Whatever we do always matter because you care

In count of 10, all of your commands must be done
Making sure that while attempting, no one is gone
Following you may be sometimes hard
“Take and take” even though sometimes we feel you were harsh

Your eyes were on us 24/7
Ensuring that when we move, always in cadence
You wake up early to join us in our reveille
Running around while having a rock sack and a riffle to carry

Time flies so fast
One day, you parted ways with us
One thing we will never forget
An extra ordinary man with an extra ordinary strength
In 6DTS, we met.

The more services that the school have for their students, the more it should make itself the best facility it can be. Therefore, an all out renovation of the existing offices and creation of the other new facilities of 6th Division Training School such as:

* Pook ni Kumandante (Officer's Clubhouse)
* NCO Clubhouse
* Admin Office
* Signal Office
* Barber Shop
* Recreation Area

has been done.

This is to maximize the learning performance of the students and create a healthier workspace among Organic Personnel. Under the current leadership headed by COL CLAIREMONT W PINPIN INF (GSC) PA, the school is leveling up not only when it comes to foster quality education, high standard of military trainings, seminars and exercises, but as well as improve a more comfortable and conducive learning facilities.
