DILG Don Marcelino recognizes the completion of the Balay Silangan Reformation Program as a significant milestone in supporting recovery, livelihood, and the productive reintegration of clients into the community.

Through the establishment of the Bagong Pag-Asa Rice Enterprise, clients are given more than a livelihood opportunity. They are given a meaningful chance to rebuild their lives, regain their independence, and move forward with dignity and purpose.

DILG Don Marcelino commends the commitment of Municipal Mayor Dr. Mark Edward Anthony M. Maruya and the dedicated Balay Silangan Technical Working Group for ensuring that reformation is supported by concrete opportunities for reintegration and self-reliance.

Every choice matters. Every chance counts. Every consequence shapes a life.

The Drug Awareness and Prevention Symposium (Choices, Chances, Consequences)โ€”initiated by LGU Don Marcelinoโ€”served as a powerful platform to educate and inspire learners to make responsible, drug-free decisions. ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

Held separately in Don Marcelino National High School, Lawa National High School, Luisa Joyce Mallari National High School, and Calian National High School on November 10โ€“11, 2025, the activity brought together students, educators, and community leaders in a united advocacy against illegal drugs.

The symposium featured valuable insights from distinguished resource persons representing key institutions: PDEA, PNP, MHO, MSWDO, and the Faith-Based Sector, who shared their expertise, guidance, and support to empower the youth.

Through this initiative, the participating schools not only raised awareness about the dangers of illegal drugs but also reinforced the importance of making informed choices, embracing positive chances, and understanding the consequences that shape their lives. Together, the community of Don Marcelino takes a strong stand for a drug-free future. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Happy Birthday, Former Mayor Michael! ๐ŸŽ‚ Wishing you a wonderful year ahead filled with peace, success, and happiness.
