During the 𝟓𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟑𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐞, a Question Hour for 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎 𝐈𝐈 (𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐈 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐈𝐧𝐜.) was held today at the Session Hall to address concerns regarding the sudden increase in electricity rates affecting families and consumers across Negros Oriental.

The discussion provided an opportunity to raise questions and seek clarification regarding the factors behind the increase and its impact on households and the community.

𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐬, 𝐄𝐬𝐦𝐞ñ𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, attended the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to gain deeper knowledge and practical insights on effective campaign management, grassroots organizing, voter engagement, and strategic leadership in barangay politics. The training sponsored and facilitated by the Center for Liberalism and Democracy, ML Partylist and the Liberal Party provides an opportunity to learn democratic campaign principles, strengthen organizational skills, and prepare for a more responsive, ethical, and people-centered electoral campaign. The training likewise provided the Trio to connect and collaborate with other Liberals in Visayas Region.

𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗷𝗮𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝗻𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗼 is a dedicated and talented young athlete whose hard work, discipline, and passion for basketball continue to bring pride to his community. His consistent achievements on the court reflect his commitment to excellence and serve as an inspiration to fellow young athletes.

Government officials and employees are reminded that participating in or attending cockfighting (sabungan), gambling, or other forms of prohibited gambling activities is not allowed, in accordance with Civil Service Commission rules. Let us uphold integrity, discipline, and professionalism in public service and be good examples to the communities we serve.

Under CSC Resolution No. 2600111 – Policy on the Prohibition of Gambling Among Government Officials and Employees, gambling is BANNED in entering, staying, or participating in gambling venues.

👉 This includes ALL government officials and employees, including the Mayor, Vice Mayor, Municipal Councilors/Sangguniang Bayan Members, Barangay Captain, Barangay Kagawad, and other government employees.

Even simple entry or stay at a gambling venue may be a violation, unless it is part of an authorized official duty.

🎯 Cockpit arenas and other places of gambling, as well as online gambling, e-sabong, cockfight betting, and other forms of gambling are prohibited.

⚠️ PENALTY:
• 1st offense – Reprimand
• 2nd offense – Suspension of 1 to 30 days
• 3rd offense – Dismissal from service

This is not just a simple "no gambling while on duty." It is prohibited even outside office hours.
