In its continuing commitment to uphold efficiency, accountability, and professionalism in public service, the Local Government Unit of Dumaran, through the Human Resource Management Unit (HRMU), conducted an Orientation and Onboarding Session for newly appointed employees at the Conference Room, Municipal Building, Barangay Poblacion, Dumaran, Palawan.
The activity aimed to provide new employees with a comprehensive understanding of the LGUโs organizational structure, policies, and operational procedures, as well as their duties, rights, and responsibilities as public servants. It also covered essential topics on leave administration, salaries and benefits, and pertinent Civil Service rules and regulations to promote informed, responsible, and effective public service delivery.
Mr. Joey V. Balmonte, HRMO II, delivered a lecture on Civil Service rules and regulations, emphasizing employeesโ responsibilities, accountability, and adherence to government policies as public servants. This was followed by Ms. Naneth R. Angcapa, Data Controller I, who discussed the Rules on Leave, including leave application procedures, processes, and the different types of leave available to government employees.
The orientation and onboarding program served as an important avenue to equip newly appointed employees with the knowledge and understanding necessary to effectively perform their duties and contribute to the delivery of quality public service to our constituents.
