CGETDC REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER EASTERN SAMAR CONCLUDES THE COAST GUARD NON-OFFICERS’ COURSE CLASS 108-2023 “MASINTAB-SILANG”

WATCH: A total of 303 strong members of Coast Guard Non-Officers’ Course Class 108-2023 graduated at the Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) Regional Training Center Eastern Samar on Tuesday, 25th June 2024.

The ceremony was presided over by Coast Guard Commodore Agapito B Bibat, Deputy Commander, Coast Guard Captain John M Aguinaldo, Superintendent, Coast Guard Non-Officers’ School, Coast Guard Commander Elaine R Pangilinan, Director, Regional Training Center Eastern Samar, Coast Guard Commander Elgene JF Gregorio, Deputy Commander, Coast District Eastern Samar, Coast Guard Lieutenant Almero R Panis, Officer-in-Charge, Coast Guard Chaplain Service, Coast Guard District Central Visayas, as well as Hon. Rodrigo C Rivera, Municipal Mayor, Dolores, Eastern Samar.

Following graduation, the members of Coast Guard Non-Officers' Course Class 108-2023 will be placed in various Coast Guard units in order to effectively carry out the mandates of the Philippine Coast Guard.

SILANG”

LOOK: A total of 303 strong members of Coast Guard Non-Officers’ Course Class 108-2023 graduated at the Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) Regional Training Center Eastern Samar on Tuesday, 25th June 2024.

The ceremony was presided over by Coast Guard Commodore Agapito B Bibat, Deputy Commander, Coast Guard Captain John M Aguinaldo, Superintendent, Coast Guard Non-Officers’ School, Coast Guard Commander Elaine R Pangilinan, Director, Regional Training Center Eastern Samar, Coast Guard Commander Elgene JF Gregorio, Deputy Commander Coast District Eastern Samar, Coast Guard Lieutenant Almero R Panis, Officer-In-Charge, Coast Guard Chaplain Service, Coast Guard District Central Visayas, as well as Hon. Rodrigo C Rivera, Municipal Mayor, Dolores, Eastern Samar. The trainees wept with pride and delight when they saw their families witnessing another milestone in their lives as they reap the fruits of their diligent efforts on their graduation day and swear in as formal members of the Philippine Coast Guard.

The members of Coast Guard Non-Officers' Course Class 108-2023 underwent basic training for non-officers in the Philippine Coast Guard for six (6) consecutive months under the guidance of Coast Guard Lieutenant Junior Grade Carlo F Dela Cruz as their course director aboard CGETDC Regional Training Center Eastern Samar.

CG COMMO PALINES MOTIVATES AND INSPIRES THE MEMBER OF CGNOC Class 108-2023 “Masintab-Silang” IN A LEADERSHIP TALK

LOOK: On 14 June 2024, the members of Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course Class 108-2023 experienced an inspiring leadership talk aboard RTC-Eastern Samar. The event provided future PCG non-officer personnel with valuable insights and inspiration as they embark on their careers in service.

The keynote speaker, CG COMMO LOWIE A PALINES, Commander, Coast Guard Ecumenical Chaplain Service, brought a wealth of experience and wisdom to the CGNOC Class 108-2023.
In his talk to his students, he emphasized Christian Leadership and the top qualities people look for in a leader. A true leader is a leader who listens to his constituents.

CG COMMO LOWIE A PALINES reminded the students to be the best leaders because everyone could be a leader in their respective unit. He highlighted that a leader must have a sense of direction and concern for the future of the organization. One must follow our leaders and believe that their words can be trusted.

THE CGETDC REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER EASTERN SAMAR CONDUCTS MANGROVE PLANTING AT BGY. JAPITAN, DOLORES, EASTERN SAMAR

LOOK: The Regional Training Center Eastern Samar, spearheaded by its Director, CG CDR ELAINE R PANGILINAN, along with the members of Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course Class 108-2023 and personnel of Coast Guard Sub-station Dolores, conducted a mangrove planting activity at Bgy. Japitan, Dolores, Eastern Samar on 29 May 2024 with the theme: "PCG para sa bayan at kalikasan."

A total of 230 mangrove propagules were planted on the shoreline of Bgy. Japitan, Dolores, Eastern Samar. The mangrove planting activity raised public awareness about the valuable role of mangroves in the environment and the need for their conservation.

THE CGETDC REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER EASTERN SAMAR CONDUCTS GIFT GIVING OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES AT DOLORES CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

LOOK: A total of 80 first graders of Dolores Central Elementary School benefited from the gift giving activity initiated by the Regional Training Center Eastern Samar along with the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-station Dolores and members of Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course Class 108-2023 on 28 May 2024.

Also present in the said activity are the school principal, Dr. Mariano C. Lascano and all the teachers at Dolores Central Elementary School. The said activity aims to provide students with essential tools for learning, enabling them to participate effectively in school and reach their full potential.

THE CGETDC REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER EASTERN SAMAR CONDUCTS FEEDING PROGRAM AT DOLORES, EASTERN SAMAR

LOOK: The Regional Training Center Eastern Samar held a feeding program at Bgy. 12, Dolores, Eastern Samar on 27 May 2024, with the theme "PCG para sa bayan at kalikasan.” The said program was spearheaded by its Director, CG CDR ELAINE R PANGILINAN, and included personnel of Coast Guard Sub-station Dolores and members of Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course Class 108-2023.

A total of 100 children from Barangay 12, Dolores, Eastern Samar, enjoyed the said feeding program which aims to provide balanced meals to improve health and build brighter future.

THE CGETDC REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER EASTERN SAMAR CONDUCTS COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE AT DOLORES, EASTERN SAMAR

LOOK: The Regional Training Center Eastern Samar, spearheaded by its Director, CG CDR ELAINE R PANGILINAN, along with the members of Coast Guard Non-Officer’s Course Class 108-2023 and personnel of Coast Guard Sub-station Dolores, conducted a coastal clean-up drive at Bgy. 12, Dolores, Eastern Samar on 27 May 2024 with the theme: "PCG para sa bayan at kalikasan."

The aforementioned initiative gathered a total of 76 sacks of both biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste materials from the shoreline of Barangay 12, Dolores, Eastern Samar. The coastal clean-up drive raised public awareness of marine pollution and encouraged the people to support efforts to reduce plastic and other non-biodegradable waste in the ocean to protect, preserve, and conserve our marine environment.
