The ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž proudly takes part in the Pride Month celebration. The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) has organized various activities to highlight PCOโ€™s commitment to being an inclusive workplace, where everyone can express themselves freely without fear of discrimination.

The centerpiece of these activities is the Pride Forum, which brings together PCO personnel from the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies to promote inclusivity, enhance visibility, and foster a supportive environment where participants can engage openly, share their experiences, and collaboratively develop future programs and initiatives. By prioritizing acceptance and dialogue, the event underscores the organization's dedication to diversity, equity, and continuous improvement in creating a welcoming workplace for all.

Through meaningful conversations and collaborative initiatives, PCO remains dedicated to fostering a culture where every individual is respected, valued, and empowered to thrive.

The Presidential Communications Office, through its Gender and Development Focal Point System, conducted the 2026 GAD Orientation at the Social Hall, New Executive Building, on 25 May 2026.

In this discussion facilitated by Atty. Shangrila C. Quezon, participants were introduced to the history of GAD in the Philippines, clarified essential concepts like s*x and gender, analyzed gender bias and socialization, and reflected on the impact of daily practices on gender equality. Individual and group activities are also prepared by Atty. Quezon, wherein participants engaged and collaborated with each other to discuss the given tasks.

Towards the end of the session, Atty. Quezon gave a brief overview of the legal frameworks and laws related to GAD.

This activity reaffirms the PCO's commitment to promoting gender mainstreaming and creating an inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive workplace within the agency.

On June 26, 1994, the Philippines held the first LGBTQIA+ Pride March in Asia.
Organized by the Progressive Organization of G**s in the Philippines (PROGAY Philippines) and the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) Manila, the first LGBT Pride March in the Philippines, where participants marched from Quezon Avenue EDSA to Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

For the third featured color, ๐Ÿ’› Yellow like sunlight breaking through the clouds, authenticity begins when we embrace every part of who we are. May we celebrate every journey of self-discovery with pride and compassion.
