This prestigious recognition was achieved during the "Youth’s Choice: A Drug-Free Life" event, held under the theme “SK SIKAT KA: Kabataan Mulat, Komunidad ang Ligtas” yesterday, May 7, 2026, at the Provincial Gymnasium in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. This victory is a testament to the creativity and dedication of our youth in using art as a powerful tool for social awareness and drug prevention.

Earlier today, Mayor Jun2 Ploteña spearheaded a consultative meeting with the Senior Citizen officials at the AVR of the Municipal Hall. As a gesture of continued support and appreciation for their invaluable contribution to our community. This gathering served as a vital platform for our elders to voice their concerns and strengthen the partnership between the local government and the senior sector.

During the session, the senior officials formally requested the procurement of a "top-down" vehicle to serve as their dedicated transportation for official business and important travels within the municipality. Acknowledging the importance of mobility and independence for our elders, Mayor Ploteña expressed his commitment to looking into this request to ensure our senior citizens have the necessary resources to remain active and mobile in their service to the community.
