📣 PUBLIC ADVISORY TO ALL SWINE RAISERS IN FERROL 🐷
From the Municipal Agricultural Office – Ferrol

To all Ferrolanon engaged in swine raising, we strongly advise you to secure insurance for your hogs through the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC).

With the continued threat of African Swine Fever (ASF) in nearby areas, protecting your livestock is essential to safeguarding your livelihood. Enrolling in the PCIC insurance program ensures that you receive financial assistance in case of losses due to ASF or other unforeseen events.

PCIC Hog Insurance Requirements

Requirements:

•Picture of the hog

•Barangay Certification

•Valid ID

•RSBSA Registration

Eligibility:

•Only breeders (boars/sows) and weanings or young hogs (bagong walay) are allowed for insurance.

Fatteners are insurable only up to 2 months of age.
Boar/Sow are insurable only up to 3 years of age.

What makes their invention even more remarkable is that these papers can be planted directly into the soil because they’re embedded with seeds.

Mga Ka-Agri, isang malakas na bagyo ang inaasahang tatama sa ating rehiyon sa mga susunod na araw. Narito ang ilan sa mga paalala upang mabawasan ang pinsala at maprotektahan ang inyong ani at kabuhayan:

1. Agad na anihin ang mga hinog at maaari nang iluwas na pananim bago dumating ang masamang panahon.

2. Ilipat at itali sa ligtas na lugar ang mga alagang hayop upang maiwasan ang pagkakasugat o pagkamatay.

3. I-secure ang mga gamit sa sakahan tulad ng pataba, binhi, at kagamitan upang hindi matangay ng malakas na hangin o baha.

4. Linisin at buksan ang mga kanal at daluyan ng tubig upang makaiwas sa pagbaha sa inyong sakahan.

5. Makinig at sumunod sa abiso ng inyong LGU at mga kaukulang ahensya upang maging ligtas at handa sa anumang emergency.
