"We Build, We Fight!"

The Naval Combat Engineering Brigade provides combat support during Fleet-Marine operations by constructing fortifications, clearing obstacles, breaching & assaulting defensive structures, and ensuring both mobility and survivability in coastal and inland environments.

WARRIOR WEDNESDAYS | Naval Combat Engineering Brigade

Also known as the Seabees, the Naval Combat Engineering Brigade enhances the Philippine Navy’s capabilities through engineering and combat readiness by providing engineer units for naval construction and combat operations.
They construct and repair essential infrastructure, including roads, bridges, piers, harbors, and beach landings, even in the most challenging conditions.

Beyond military operations, they support humanitarian missions, disaster relief, and national development. Among their accomplishments in 2024 are community-focused endeavors such as Brigada Eskwela in Pangasinan, a bloodletting activity to support public health, and their immediate assistance during rescue and relief operations in NCR following Super Typhoon Carina.

Through expert planning, engineering, and construction, the Seabees bridge the gap between military service and nation-building as they remain committed to serving with honor, courage, and selflessness.

Exercise ALON 2025 - PN Seabees "Clear the way ... Lead the way!"

The Naval Combat Engineer Brigade - PN Seabees took part in the Combined and Joint Forcible Entry Operations with Australian Defence Force (ADF) counterparts during Exercise ALON 2025 held on 24 August 2025 in San Vicente, Palawan, facing the West Philippine Sea.

The large-scale amphibious drill showcased interoperability, rapid deployment, and strengthened maritime security cooperation between the Philippines and Australia, with approximately 1,000 Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) personnel participating in the simulated beach landing and objective retake scenario.

From the AFP, the exercise featured troops from the Marine Battalion Landing Team-11, Naval Combat Engineer Brigade (PN Seabees), 61st Force Recon Company with attached Small Unit Riverine Craft and Patrol Craft from the Marine Corps Assault Boat Battalion, Marine Battalion Landing Team-9, Marine Battalion Landing Team-7, and two FA-50 fighter aircraft providing air support.

The ADF deployed a Joint Pre-Landing Force with Combat Rubber Raiding Crafts, HMAS Brisbane (DDG41) with an embarked MH-60R Seahawk helicopter, and a RAAF EA-18G Growler for electronic warfare support. A US Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey also observed the exercise.

AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. lauded the troops for their professionalism and the significance of the exercise in preparing for modern challenges. “Today’s Combined and Joint Forcible Entry Operations was very successful. What makes this year’s ALON Exercise different is that we fully integrated the air, maritime, and land domains,” General Brawner said.

The activity underscored the AFP’s advancement toward multi-domain operations to prepare forces for evolving challenges, while Exercise ALON 2025 served as a testament to the enduring defense partnership between the Philippines and Australia and the shared commitment of partner nations to uphold peace, security, and stability in the Indo-Pacific region

The graduates completed six months of rigorous military training, which prepared them physically, mentally, and emotionally and provided the necessary tools needed to perform the roles that will be assigned to them for the duration of their service as members of the Fleet-Marine Team. A combination of physical training, field & tactical exercises, and classroom instructions prepared them to be strong and capable, instilling in their young minds the core values embodied in every sailor.

A Tribute to the Drill Instructors of the Naval Combat Engineer Brigade (NCEBde) on its 56th Founding Anniversary.

Drill Instructors (DIs) are highly trained professionals who are the foundation of making Seabees. Working countless hours, they ensure that these young recruits receive the best training possible to prepare them for the rigors they will face as combat engineers.

The DIs serve as models who teach the recruits to live by the PN Seabees motto, "We Build ... We Fight!"
