In celebration of 2026 Environment Month, the Local Government Unit of Ganassi actively participated in the Simultaneous Tree-Planting Activity held on June 30, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

The activity brought together local government officials, municipal employees, partner agencies, community volunteers, and other stakeholders in a collective effort to restore and preserve the municipality's natural environment. Participants planted tree seedlings in designated areas, contributing to reforestation efforts and promoting ecological balance for future generations.

This meaningful initiative highlights the importance of collective action in addressing environmental challenges while fostering environmental awareness and responsibility among the community. Through activity, the LGU of Ganassi continues to support programs that promote a greener, healthier, and more sustainable municipality.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region XII-B Lanao through its Cultural Affairs Division conducted a courtesy engagement with the Local Government Unit of Ganassi, Lanao del Sur. The visit aimed to strengthen coordination and partnership between NCMF and the local government of Ganassi in promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and values of the Muslim communities in the municipality.

During the engagement, representatives from the Cultural Affairs Division discussed various programs and initiatives focused on cultural development, heritage preservation, and community empowerment. The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore potential collaborations in organizing cultural activities and educational programs that would enhance public awareness and appreciation of the unique cultural identity of the people of Ganassi.

The LGU of Ganassi warmly welcomed the NCMF delegation and expressed its support for initiatives that promote cultural preservation and inclusive community development. Both have reaffirmed their commitment in fostering stronger partnerships in advancing cultural understanding, unity, and sustainable development within the municipality and the wider Bangsamoro region.

June 4, 2026 | Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting between the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD-BARMM) and the Local Government Unit of Ganassi was successfully conducted to strengthen coordination and partnership in the implementation of social welfare and development programs within the municipality.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss ongoing and proposed initiatives, address concerns related to service delivery, and identify strategies to enhance the effectiveness of social protection programs for the benefit of the local community. Representatives from MSSD-BARMM and officials of LGU Ganassi actively participated in the discussions, sharing updates, recommendations, and commitments aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of social services.

The activity underscored the importance of collaboration between regional and local government stakeholders in promoting inclusive development and ensuring that assistance reaches vulnerable sectors. A consultative meeting was successfully conducted in Ganassi, Lanao del Sur between the Local Government Unit of Ganassi, representatives from the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister – Mainland, BARMM, and various local stakeholders. The activity served as a venue for open dialogue, collaboration, and discussion of programs and concerns affecting the municipality and nearby communities.

The meeting was attended by officials and representatives from different stakeholders who actively participated in the discussions. The representatives from the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister – Mainland emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the BARMM government and local government units in addressing the needs of the people and promoting inclusive development in the mainland areas.

During the consultation, several concerns and priority programs were presented and discussed, particularly on governance, public services, community development, peace and order, and other local issues affecting the constituents of Ganassi. Stakeholders were given the opportunity to express their insights, recommendations, and support for future initiatives that would contribute to the progress and welfare of the municipality.

The LGU Ganassi, headed by Hon. Mohammad Noah Marohombsar Macapodi, and its local officials expressed gratitude to the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister – Mainland, BARMM, and all participating stakeholders for their presence and continued support. This initiative reflects the commitment of the provincial government in promoting transparency, accountability, and proper valuation of properties for the benefit of the public. LGU Ganassi recognizes the importance of the consultation in ensuring that stakeholders, property owners, and concerned constituents are given the opportunity to participate and raise their concerns and recommendations regarding the proposed market values.

The municipality of Ganassi, Lanao del Sur successfully conducted the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Turnover Ceremony led by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Lanao del Sur, BARMM. The event marked the formal turnover of the CBMS data and resources to the Local Government Unit of Ganassi, reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to data-driven governance, evidence-based planning, and responsive public service.

The activity was participated in by key PSA Lanao del Sur officials, including Mohammadali R. Alonto, Jr., Statistical Specialist; Yasrulah D. Sheik, JD, Senior Statistical Specialist and CBMS Focal Person; Alliah Casim, Statistical Specialist II; and Amerhussien Dirampaten, Information System Analyst. Also present was Norsalimah Saipoden of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), reflecting the collaborative partnership among agencies in utilizing reliable data for community development.

During the program, PSA officials emphasized the significance of the Community-Based Monitoring System as an essential tool in gathering accurate and updated household-level data that will guide the municipality in identifying priority needs, addressing socioeconomic concerns, and formulating strategic programs for poverty reduction, education, health, infrastructure, and social welfare.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the acceptance message delivered by Mayor Hon. Mohammad Noah M. Macapodi, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the Philippine Statistics Authority for its dedication and support in empowering the Municipality of Ganassi through the CBMS. Mayor Noah underscored the importance of the data in strengthening local governance and affirmed the LGU’s commitment to maximizing the system in crafting informed policies and sustainable development initiatives that will benefit all constituents.

The successful turnover ceremony symbolized not only the transfer of vital statistical data but also the shared commitment of PSA, LGU Ganassi, and partner agencies toward transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance. The event further strengthened inter-agency collaboration and paved the way for more effective planning and implementation of programs that directly respond to the needs of the people of Ganassi.
