Today, Harrison Integrated School conducted an earthquake drill and basic safety training to help our learners stay prepared and protected, especially with the recent earthquakes happening in different parts of the Philippines.
This activity is not just about practice; it is also about care, awareness, and making sure our students know what to do during emergencies. Our learners practiced the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” technique and also learned basic bandaging skills to help respond to minor injuries in case of accidents.
With the guidance of their teachers, the students participated actively while being reminded to stay calm, alert, and always look out for one another.
At the center of this activity is our deep concern for every child’s safety. We want them to feel not only prepared, but also protected and cared for.
Because at Harrison Integrated School, our learners will always come first.

The Harrison Integrated School family is truly blessed and deeply grateful for the generous donation of school supplies from Jhoy Bercasio and Mary Knoll Bercasio for our elementary pupils.
Your kindness brought genuine joy to our learners. More than the supplies, you gave them hope, encouragement, and the reminder that there are people who believe in their dreams and care for their future.
We are sincerely thankful for your generosity and compassion. It means so much to our school community and to every child who received your gift.
May your kindness return to you a hundredfold.

It was a meaningful and heartwarming day for the Harrison Integrated School family last June 17, 2026 , as we were blessed to be one of the recipients of the "Pagbabago: A Million Learners Campaign" Bag Distribution Activity of the Office of the Vice President.
The smiles on our learners' faces spoke louder than words as they received their school bags. More than the bags themselves, these gifts serve as a reminder that there are people who believe in them, support their dreams, and care about their future.
We are especially happy for our Grade 1 learners under the guidance of Ma’am Evelyn Alvarez and our Grade 4 learners under the guidance of Ma’am Liezel Jane Torregrosa, who were among the beneficiaries of this wonderful initiative.
To everyone behind this program, thank you for extending your kindness and generosity to our learners. Your support helps lighten the burden of many families and inspires our children to continue learning with confidence and hope.
As educators, there is no greater joy than seeing our learners feel valued, encouraged, and excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. May this simple yet meaningful act of giving remind us all that when we invest in the education of a child, we help shape a brighter future for our communities and our nation.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making a difference—one learner, one bag, and one dream at a time.

Our orientation on the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum was a simple yet meaningful activity dedicated to our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students. It served as a guide to help them better understand the strengthened curriculum, their academic journey, and the opportunities that await them in the future. More than just an informative session, the orientation became a moment of encouragement and inspiration as students prepared themselves for the challenges and responsibilities of senior high school life. The discussion also highlighted how the new curriculum can positively affect their lives by helping them develop important skills, build confidence, discover their strengths, and become more prepared for college, work, and real-world experiences. Through this gathering, the students were reminded that every lesson, experience, and effort they make today will help shape the future they dream of achieving.

"Creating a Safe Space for Every Learner "

Today, our school successfully conducted the Orientation on Guidance and Counseling, Child Protection Policy, and Anti-Bullying Awareness, a meaningful activity that reaffirmed our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for every learner.

We are deeply honored and grateful to our guest speaker, Mr. Philip Ronuelle V. Maritez, Guidance Counselor, for sharing his expertise and inspiring message on the importance of guidance services, child protection, and the collective responsibility of preventing bullying in our schools. His valuable insights reminded us that every act of kindness, understanding, and respect helps build a stronger and more compassionate school community.

This orientation emphasized that education goes beyond academic achievement. It is also about nurturing the well-being of every child and ensuring that each learner feels safe, heard, respected, and protected.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our school administrators, teachers, staff, and students for their active participation and support in making this activity a success.

Together, let us continue to foster a culture where empathy overcomes cruelty, respect defeats discrimination, and every learner is given the opportunity to grow and thrive.

"A child who feels safe today becomes a confident and responsible citizen tomorrow. Let us work hand in hand to protect, guide, and empower every learner."

📰 NEWSFLASH | NEW GRADING SYSTEM IS COMING—WHAT WILL CHANGE?

📢The Department of Education (DepEd) has introduced revised assessment and grading guidelines under DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026, to be implemented in School Year 2026–2027.

The new system strengthens the use of performance tasks and continuous assessment, aiming for more accurate measurement of learner progress.

A key change is the gradual shift to zero-based grading, where grades will reflect actual computed scores—without transmutation—starting SY 2027–2028.

For Kindergarten to Grade 3, numerical grades will be replaced with descriptive feedback, while Grades 4–12 will continue numerical grading under clearer and more transparent standards. The passing mark remains 75, with strengthened support programs for learners.

📌 But how will these changes affect report cards, promotion, and awards?

👉 Parents and learners are encouraged to attend the upcoming School Orientation for full details.
