We are excited to announce the year-two of our Halloween Party! ๐ป๐
Join us for another fun activity. We are encouraging our yayamanin and kindhearted constituents to celebrate with us by giving out candies to our participative children! ๐ฅฐ
This year, we are having our House-to-house Trick or Treat activity in our purok followed by a culmination activity where participants get to present their spooky costumes and get the chance to receive awards and prizes!
To join, just send us the participant's name and address via personal message.
COSTUME GUIDELINES:
โข Costumes from all genres of art fandom, mythical creatures across nationalities, and non-cosplay Halloween costumes are acceptable. Handmade and self-constructed costumes made from recyclable materials are highly encouraged but not necessary.
โข Please have any makeup or costuming done before the event.
โข All costumes must be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
โข Nudity or any illusion to it is prohibited.
โข All contestants must wear clothing (shorts, skirt, etc) that completely covers their behind.
โข To ensure safety of all participants, wearing of shoes, boots, slippers, or any footware are required (socks are not considered foot coverings). If your character does not wear shoes, the lack of accuracy in your costume will be forgiven.
โข No open carry of fi****ms. Costume weapons must be made of foam or plastic.
โข For safety reasons, the following props are not allowed:
~ Live animals (with the exception of service animals)
~ Substances that might damage or stain facilities or other costumes and participants (i.e. throwing fake blood, glitter, confetti, silly string, water, excessive messy body or face paint etc.)
~ Projectiles of any kind. Don't throw anything.
~ Flames, pyrotechnics or explosives of any kind.
~ Please, no metal bats, large wrenches or shovels. (Foam is fine!)
โข The Lagao Purok 12 council have the right to modify these rules on the spot to protect conference attendees and the safety of the event.
CONTEST GUIDELINES:
โข Participants of the Trick or Treat Activity MUST be accompanied by a guardian.
โข Contestants will have maximum time of 3 minutes to complete the catwalk and present his/her/their costume. This is enough time to walk to the end of the catwalk, strike a pose, self introduction, and walk back.
โข Swearing, sexual humor, flashing, extreme political or religious statements or other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Contestants engaging in such behavior will be immediately disqualified and removed from the event.
โข For safety reasons, no sprinting, high jumping, or acrobatics.
โข Throwing props is not allowed.
CRITERIA:
1. Creativity & Originality (15 pts)
โ How unique or imaginative is the costume idea? Did they go beyond the usual witches and ghosts?
2. Effort & Craftsmanship (25 pts)
โ How much work, detail, and effort were clearly put into the costume? Handmade and heartfelt over store-bought any day!
3. Overall Appearance (20 pts)
โ How eye-catching and well-presented is the costume from head to toe? Do all elements blend nicely, or is it giving โlast-minute chaosโ?
4. Character Portrayal (25 pts)
โ How confidently and accurately does the child act out their character? Are they living the role or just wearing it?
5. Crowd Reaction/Audience Impact (15pts)
โ Is the costume spooky, fun, and on-theme for Halloween?
Note that participants of the Trick or Treat Activity MUST be accompanied by a guardian. Also, the main point of the activity is for fun and community engagement, we are asking for the help and support of the constituents for candy-donations or candy-giving. God bless y'all as soon as possible. ๐๐พ
