𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | Ceremonial Turnover and Signing of Deed of Donation of Fire Tanker

‎Earlier today, the Municipality of Maasim witnessed the Ceremonial Turnover and Signing of the Deed of Donation for 𝗼𝗻𝗲 (1) 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 donated by 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Maasim Fire Station. The ceremony marked a significant partnership between the private sector and government in strengthening the municipality's emergency response and fire protection capabilities.

‎The donated fire tanker is expected to enhance the operational readiness of BFP Maasim in responding to fire incidents, disasters, and other emergencies, ensuring faster and more efficient service to the people of Maasim.

𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 | 17th Sangguniang Bayan of Maasim

Yesterday, ‎despite the series of earthquakes and aftershocks that continue to affect Sarangani Province, General Santos City, and the Municipality of Maasim—identified as the epicenter of the recent seismic activity—the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Maasim remained steadfast in their commitment to public service by convening a Special Session at the Ground Floor of the Municipal Hall to ensure the safety of all officials and personnel.

‎Led by Vice Mayor and together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the Special Session focused on discussions regarding the current situation brought about by the ongoing disaster, preparedness and response measures, and the necessary interventions to address the needs of affected communities.
‎
‎The body also received reports concerning the impact of the earthquakes on the Municipality of Maasim, including updates on affected families, damaged properties and infrastructure. These reports served as the basis for identifying immediate actions and coordinating appropriate assistance for residents.
‎
‎In response to concerns over public safety along vulnerable road sections, the Sangguniang Bayan likewise approved a resolution requesting the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), concerned agencies, and other relevant authorities to strictly regulate the loads of heavy trucks traversing the Tampat Area National Highway in Maasim, Sarangani Province; install appropriate warning devices and safety signage; and assign 24/7 highway traffic aides to help ensure the safety of motorists and residents, particularly amid the ongoing effects of the recent earthquakes.

‎The Special Session reflects the unwavering dedication of the local legislative body to remain responsive, proactive, and united in addressing the challenges brought about by this calamity, while continuously prioritizing the welfare and safety of every people of Maasim.

‎The 45th Regular Session of the 17th Sangguniang Bayan of Maasim convened on June 1, 2026, at the SB Session Hall, Municipal Compound, Poblacion Maasim, Sarangani Province, where council members discussed and acted upon several matters concerning governance, public welfare, and local development.
‎
‎Among the agenda presented during the session were updates and reports from concerned offices, requests and communications requiring legislative action, and discussions on programs and initiatives geared toward improving the delivery of basic services to the people of Maasim.
‎
‎The session also provided an avenue for the Sanggunian to review and deliberate on measures that support education, social services, infrastructure development, and other community-based programs, ensuring that local policies remain aligned with the municipality’s development goals.

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 43rd Regular Session of the 17th Sangguniang Bayan of Maasim

One of the highlighted discussions during today’s regular session was the presentation of the proposed Local Development Plan for Children (LDPC) 2026–2028, presented before the members of the Sangguniang Bayan together with concerned departments and stakeholders.

The session also included the proposal of South Point College of Arts and Technology regarding scholarship opportunities intended to support deserving students and further strengthen access to education for the youth of Maasim.

Aside from these presentations, various ordinances, programs, and municipal matters were likewise discussed in line with the municipality’s continuing commitment to effective public service, community development, and initiatives that will contribute to the progress and welfare of the people of Maasim, Sarangani Province.
