A CELEBRATION OF GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION!

The LYFJSSHS SSLG Officers 2026–2027, in collaboration with the different school clubs and organizations and with the participation of the SPTA Officers, held a surprise program to celebrate and honor our dedicated teachers on Teachers’ Day.

The celebration featured the giving of gifts to teachers, the Awarding of Little Teachers, and the Special Awards for Teachers—meaningful gestures that highlighted the dedication, hard work, and unique contributions of our educators.
Through this celebration, our learners expressed their appreciation for the teachers who continue to guide, inspire, and support them every day. It was a joyful reminder that every lesson, encouragement, and effort made by our teachers truly matters.

A heartfelt thank you to the SSLG Officers 2026–2027, the different school clubs and organizations, and the SPTA Officers for working together to make this Teachers’ Day celebration memorable and meaningful.

SOUTHERNIANS FIRST AMATEUR PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

The Teachers’ Day celebration at Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. South Senior High School continued with another fun-filled day of sports, laughter, and camaraderie through the Southernians First Amateur Pickleball Tournament.

The friendly tournament brought our teachers and admin together for an exciting day of competition while celebrating the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our educators. More than the games, it was a celebration of friendship, teamwork, and the joy of being part of the Southernians family.

TEACHER, IKAW NAMAN!

In celebration of the invaluable contributions of educators to the lives of learners and the community, Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. South Senior High School (LYFJSSHS) commemorated Teachers’ Day.

On September 30, 2026, the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), headed by President, Mr. Jessie Ubago, organized a meaningful and full-blast celebration dedicated to honoring our teachers and recognizing the significant role they play in shaping the lives and futures of our learners.

As part of the celebration, the SPTA prepared well-deserved manicure-pedicure, massage, and haircut services, giving teachers an opportunity to relax and enjoy a day of self-care. These services were facilitated under the leadership of Ms. Marisa Florentino, Office Staff from the CSWD Training Center, together with her team.

Adding warmth to the celebration, food prepared by the parent officers was shared over lunch, providing everyone with an opportunity to gather, enjoy a hearty meal, and celebrate together.

The celebration also placed emphasis on the health and well-being of our teachers. Ms. Rizza Maquiniana, SPTA Vice President, conducted a short health-related seminar, providing valuable reminders on the importance of prioritizing one’s health. Teachers were likewise provided with supplements, while free consultations were offered as part of the wellness initiatives prepared for them.

This celebration serves as a meaningful reminder that behind every lesson taught, every learner guided, and every milestone achieved is a teacher who continuously gives time, effort, patience, and dedication.

To all our teachers, Teacher, Ikaw Naman. May this celebration remind you that your dedication is valued, your service is appreciated, and your well-being matters.

Sa bisa ng Proclamation No. 326, s. 2012, kinikilala ang huling Lunes ng Setyembre bilang Pamilya Mahalaga Day—isang pagkakataon upang pahalagahan ang pamilya bilang mahalagang bahagi ng buhay ng bawat Pilipino.

Sa Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day, nagsama-sama ang ating mga Southernians at kanilang mga pamilya para sa isang simpleng ngunit makabuluhang oras ng pagsasalo, kuwentuhan, at pagkakaisa.
