Under the leadership of ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‘๐Ž๐‹๐˜ ๐ƒ ๐๐€๐๐ƒ๐„๐‹๐ˆ๐๐†, Acting District Jail Warden, Guihulngan District Jail successfully conducted the Physical Ability Test (PAT) among personnel.

The activity aimed to assess and maintain the physical fitness, endurance, and readiness of personnel in the effective performance of their duties.

Personnel actively participated in the different test components, demonstrating discipline, strength, and commitment to maintaining a high level of physical preparedness in the service.

This initiative reinforces the Bureauโ€™s commitment to promoting health, fitness, and operational readiness among its personnel. ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ

Under the leadership of ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‘๐Ž๐‹๐˜ ๐ƒ ๐๐€๐๐ƒ๐„๐‹๐ˆ๐๐†, Acting Warden, personnel of Guihulngan District Jail participated in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing for Brigada Eskwela in partnership with Guihulngan South Central School.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the school personnel headed by Ms. Roditha B Belono, School Principal III, to formalize partnership and strengthen collaborative efforts in support of Brigada Eskwela and community development initiatives.

Prior to the signing, a brief discussion on the provisions, objectives, and scope of the agreement was held to ensure mutual understanding and commitment between both parties. Thereafter, the formal signing of the MOA was carried out, signifying strengthened partnership and cooperation in community-based programs.

This initiative highlights the commitment of Guihulngan District Jail in fostering strong partnerships with educational institutions and actively supporting programs that promote community development and shared responsibility. ๐Ÿคโœจ

The activity was graced by Dr. Alain C Go, MD, Chief Health Officer of the City, Mr. Michael Pascios, Planning Officer II of the Commission on Population โ€“ NIR, Mr. Fedel Seniagan, Nurse I from the City Health Office, and CHO personnel.

As part of the program, Mr. Michael Pascios served as the Resource Speaker and discussed the significance of responsible parenthood, emphasizing proper family planning, accountability, and the role of individuals in building strong and healthy families.

This initiative reinforces the facilityโ€™s commitment to rehabilitation and holistic development by promoting awareness on social responsibility and strengthening family values among PDLs. โœจ

Under the leadership of ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‘๐Ž๐‹๐˜ ๐ƒ ๐๐€๐๐ƒ๐„๐‹๐ˆ๐๐†, Acting Warden, Guihulngan District Jail, a session of the Katatagan, Kalusugan at Damayan sa Komunidad (KKDK) Program was conducted by JO1 Christian Rey L Bataculin, KKDK Facilitator, with the participation of six (6) male Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), under the supervision of duty personnel.

The KKDK Program is an intensive drug recovery program designed for plea bargainers, providing structured modules that promote behavioral change, mental health, and community reintegration through a holistic approach to recovery.

During the activity, Module 16 was discussed, focusing on strengthening the participantsโ€™ recovery journey, developing coping mechanisms, and preparing them for reintegration either prior to release or within the community.

This initiative reinforces the facilityโ€™s commitment to rehabilitation, transformation, and the holistic development of PDLs through evidence-based recovery programs. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Under the leadership of ๐‰๐‚๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‘๐Ž๐‹๐˜ ๐ƒ ๐๐€๐๐ƒ๐„๐‹๐ˆ๐๐†, Acting Warden, Guihulngan District Jail actively participated in the 1st Quarter CY 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill to enhance disaster preparedness and emergency response within the facility.

The activity was attended by seventeen (17) unit personnel and one hundred two (102) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) from Dormitories 4 and 5.

Prior to the drill, SJO3 Christopher C Abrasaldo conducted a short briefing regarding the procedures to be followed. The drill was initiated by sounding the alarm to simulate an earthquake scenario. In response, the PDLs immediately performed the โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure while awaiting the opening of their dormitory. Upon clearance, they exited in an orderly single file and proceeded to the designated open area.

After the drill, JCINSP ROLY D BANDELING reminded the PDLs of the importance of applying the same procedures during an actual earthquake, emphasizing the need to remain calm, avoid panic, and strictly follow safety protocols to ensure an orderly evacuation and protection of lives.

In addition, JO3 Von Vendrick Taladua, Unit Nurse, conducted a lecture-demonstration on proper bandaging techniques for possible injuries during disasters and demonstrated the correct procedure in administering CPR.

This activity strengthens disaster preparedness and promotes safety awareness among personnel and PDLs, ensuring that everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary during emergency situations. ๐ŸŒโœจ
