Gathering the highest number of participants, the youth of Morobuan showed up and delivered at this yearโ€™s Linggo ng Kabataan at the Jordan Municipal Gym. Our young participants actively took part in various competitions and proudly showcased their talents and skills.

Our Quiz Bee teamโ€”Nick Aaron Tamagos, Carl Gian Gallarda, and Eliza Mae Elioโ€”secured 2nd Runner-Up, while Crisveck James Endencio placed 2nd Runner-Up in the Poster Making Contest. Roshean Faye Adorio, our Spelling Bee representative, may have fallen short of the top three but fought valiantly through the tie-breaker round and finished 3rd Runner-Up.

Our 3x3 Basketball team, composed of Nicol Villar, Cyrex Tamagos, Jhon Rey Duller, and Geodyl Gallego, also fought hard and represented Morobuan with pride.

Adding to the dayโ€™s meaningful engagements, SK Chairperson Alester John Gallarda served as one of the resource speakers during the symposium, discussing the state of the Philippine seas and its impact on the Filipino youth.

The journey continues as selected youth representatives from Barangay Morobuan are set to represent the Municipality of Jordan in the Provincial Linggo ng Kabataan through the Sweet Play competition on August 29 at the Provincial Capitol.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Morobuan, together with members of PYAP-Morobuan, participated in the provincial launch of Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK) 2026, dubbed Imbukada, on August 12 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.

The activity carried the theme โ€œDifferent Contexts, Common Aspirations,โ€ bringing together young people from across the province in celebration of youth participation, unity, and shared aspirations.

The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Morobuan delegates actively participated and earned recognition in various competitions during the Provincial Life and Skills Encampment held in Dasal, Sibunag, Guimaras, on August 6โ€“8.

Morobuan youth made its mark in the Literary and Musical competitions, with SK Chairperson Alester John Gallarda and his partner emerging as Vocal Duet ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ, while Nahl Alfaras secured ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ž in the same category. Other delegates also excelled in various activities throughout the encampment.

This achievement would not have been possible without the all-out support of the Municipality of Jordan and MSWDO Officer Loveleen Genanda, who have been guiding and supporting all the youth participants throughout their journey.

The infographic entry of Barangay Morobuan, crafted by the Sangguniang Kabataan and the SKWID Youth Volunteers, emerged as the 2nd Runner-Up among nine competing barangays in the Creative and Sustainable Infographics Contest 2026 โ€“ DRRM.

Titled โ€œ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐๐š โ€” ๐š๐ง๐  ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐›๐ฎ๐š๐ง๐จ๐ง๐  ๐‡๐š๐ง๐๐š,โ€ the entry features a disaster-ready character equipped with the knowledge, skills, and essential emergency gear needed to respond to emergencies. The concept was imaginatively developed and digitally illustrated by the team, serving as the central figure of the infographic while promoting disaster preparedness and resilience.

The awarding ceremony was held today, July 30, at the Municipal Gymnasium of Jordan, Guimaras.

The outreach activity was organized by Brรกms Cafe headed by Maโ€™am Jem, whose heart for community service is truly evident. The activity was conducted in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan, the Barangay Council, the PNPโ€“Guimaras, the Kids Bible Squad and the Department of Education through Morobuan Elementary School.
