Thank You for Making the TTGINP 1st Anniversary Celebration a Success!

From the Kick-Off TTGINP Exhibit, 3rd PAMB Regular Meeting, BDFE Capacity Building Training on Bookkeeping, Boat Operators' Orientation, "Sa Pamunit Kita" Sustainable Fishing Activity, Holy Mass, Volleyball Tournaments, "Sa Plastic Anay Ta" Waste Segregation Activity, Quiz Bee and Mangrove Identification Contest, Paddle Board Clinic, Mangrove Eco-Race, and the Search for Kataw kag Siokoy sang TTGINP 2026, every activity showcased our shared commitment to protecting and celebrating TTGINP.

Bringing essential government services directly to the public, the Office also participated in the Guimaras Police Provincial Office’s One-Stop Shop Caravan in Buenavista and Sibunag. Through this outreach, PENRO Guimaras served over 200 clients by addressing land titling and resource permitting queries while distributing fruit tree seedlings to the community.

DENR PENRO Guimaras Marks International Mangrove Day 2026 with Conservation Action for Climate Resilience

In celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of Mangrove Ecosystems, DENR PENRO Guimaras conducted an environmental undertaking on July 26, 2026, at the Taklong and Tandog Group of Islands Natural Park (TTGINP) in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. Guided by the theme “Healthy Mangroves for Sustainable Blue Economy and Climate Resilience,” the initiative was led by OIC TSD Chief Rhett Arthur Diana alongside 22 participants from the Conservation and Development Section and Forestry Students from West Visayas State University. Setting off at 9:00 AM, the team carried out a mangrove enrichment planting in Punong Kuni, Barangay La Paz, planting 320 Rhizophora mucronata (Bakhaw babae) seedlings following standard biodiversity guidelines. The participants also performed a mangrove habitat assessment across 6 plots at Piagau Island to gather ecological data for future TTGINP management strategies.

Calling all Students, Freelance Artists, Graphic Designers, and Creative Enthusiasts! Show your talent and creativity by designing the official logo of the Taklong and Tandog Group of Islands Natural Park (TTGINP).
