Itโs the season to be jolly and we want you, our dear Santiago youth to enjoy, unite, and unleash your creativity this Christmas Season! Thatโs why we give you the ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐ฒ๐๐ : ๐๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฌ๐ญ.

1. Open to all bonafide residents of Barangay Santiago, Iligan City whose ages ranges from ๐๐-๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ฅ๐.
2. The Simbolo sa Kahayag: Christmas Parol Making Contest is an inter-purok competition. ๐๐๐๐ก ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ค ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐ฆ composed of 1 team leader and members (no limit).
3. The team leader and members must submit a ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ at the SK Santiago office or through online. Registration form can be accessed through this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSduRaUrDDeOfaDtNAsKNvE-W4aF__NAEHwL0B9HvDwsuGjbFA/viewform?usp=sf_link. Or you may ask for a copy at the SK Santiago office. Only registered team leader and members are allowed to join. Once registered, the team may start making their parol.
4. A ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ค ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ฒ must be attached to the registration form. If they registered online, they must submit a purok clearance or barangay residency on or before Dec. 13, 2023 at the SK Santiago Office. The team leader and the rest of the members must provide either of the above-mentioned document for proof of residency.
5. Deadline of registration is on ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐:๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ฆ.
6. The team leader or any representative for each participating purok must be present on the day of the orientation (๐๐๐. ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ) at Santiago Barangay Hall.
7. The team leader and all the members must like and follow ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ ๐จโ๐ฌ ๐จ๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐
๐๐๐๐๐จ๐จ๐ค ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐.
8. The Christmas Parol must exhibit the spirit of Christmas and must use ๐ซ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฌ to unleash creativity and promote environmental preservation. Hazardous materials are strongly prohibited.
9. The Christmas Parol must be displayed ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฒ (Dec. 23, 2023). Each purok must display their masterpieces on a ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ (e.g. street sidewalk) within their respective purok. However, it should not cause any kind of inconvenience to the residents.
10. The judging day is on ๐๐๐. ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ. The team leader and all the members of a certain purok must be present on their display location during the judging and ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ญ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐ญ๐ ๐๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ (with or without accompaniment). The team with the best Christmas caroling will receive 1,000 pesos cash.
11. The Christmas Parol must be ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฒ after the competition or after the Christmas season.
12. The Champion of Simbolo sa Kahayag: Christmas Parol Making Contest will receive ๐,๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก. The first and second runner up will receive ๐,๐๐๐ and ๐,๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก, respectively. The top 4,5, and 6 will be announced as consolation prizes with ๐,๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก ๐๐๐๐ก.
13. Failure to adhere to guidelines nos. 1-4 is subject to ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง; Failure to adhere to guidelines nos. 5-11 is subject to ๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฉ๐๐ซ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐.
14. The decision of the judges is ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐.
15. The winners will be announced on ๐๐๐. ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ; to be posted at SK Santiago official page. Prizes will then be released at SK Santiago office after the announcement of winners.
16. The SK Santiago Council may revise, eliminate, or add any guidelines to fix unforeseen problems. In cases where guidelines are changed, participants must be notified immediately for their guidance.
