In celebration of women's month, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur held the " Her Story, Our Pride" Celebrating women in hospitality, tourism, culture and arts competition. The champion john carl pabo, a student of the philippine science High School, Ilocos region campus chose to write my story. My heart was filled with both honor and humility. Of all the stories he could have chosen, he chose mine—and for that, I am deeply grateful. I was also honored with the distinguished ilokana award.
May I humbly share his winning piece,

With a grateful heart, I thank John Carl Pabo for believing that my story is worth telling. My gratitude also goes to Bryan Castillo and Angela Marie Delizo for choosing my story as their entry. Congratulations to all the winners.
My deepest appreciation goes to the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur for its unwavering commitment to recognizing and uplifting women through programs that are powerful affirmations that women’s voices, journeys, and contributions truly matter.
May we continue to tell our stories—
not only of struggles, but of courage…
not only of barriers, but of breakthroughs.
Because every woman’s story matters.
Every voice deserves to be heard.
And every dream, no matter how quietly it begins, holds the power to change the world.
As we move forward together, let us always remember: “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”
Thank you, and may God bless us all.
