The National Youth Commission (NYC) conducted the 3rd Sangguniang Kabataan Regional Task Force Meeting on 1 September 2026, at SP Conference Hall, Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

The meeting was presided by Asec. Michael Christophe R. Agustin, with SK National Representative Carol Julianne Dalipe. The meeting provided an avenue for discussion and coordination on matters concerning the Sangguniang Kabataan and the continued strengthening of youth participation in local governance.

The activity highlighted the NYC’s continued efforts to strengthen coordination among youth leaders and stakeholders in promoting responsive and meaningful youth governance.

The Panlalawigan Pederasyon Sangguniang Kabataan ng Ilocos Sur led by SPM and PPSK President Victor N. Singson conducted 3rd ANNAK Council meeting at One Ilocos Sur Café Conference Room, Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on 26 August 2026.

The meeting served as a platform for council members to deliberate on upcoming youth-related initiatives, strengthen coordination and collaboration among member organizations, and ensure the effective and sustained implementation of programs and activities responsive to the needs and aspirations of the youth of Ilocos Sur.

The Provincial Youth Development Office attended the 9th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies of the Rotaract Club of Magsingal North Ilocos Sur on 29 August 2026 at Reynaldo’s Place, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

The ceremony marked the transition of leadership and recognized the commitment of the organization’s members to service, leadership, and youth development. The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and support initiatives that promote meaningful youth participation in the community.

The Provincial Youth Development Office of Ilocos Sur, together with Youth Serving Organizations and Youth Organizations, participated in the Global Youth Summit 2026 organized by SM Cares in partnership with Global Peace Foundation Philippines held on 27 August 2026 at SM City Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

The summit brought together young people, youth leaders, and advocates for an inspiring learning session centered on mental health and well-being, sustainable communities, and equal opportunities for all.

Youth participation is more than simply being present, it is about showing up, speaking up, learning from one another, and taking action.
