π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo under the leadership of its Acting Commander, CAPT Jan J Terazona PCG, through Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Dumangas together with CGS Iloilo and Special Operations Unit (SOU) Central-Iloilo personnel successfully retrieved the cadaver of a nine (9) year old victim of drowning incident after a three-day search and retrieval operation that transpired at Sitio Kaingin, Brgy. Nabitasan, Leganes, Iloilo.

The operation commenced on 13 July 2026 after CGSS Dumangas received a report from MDRRMO Leganes. The team together with MDRRMO Leganes, BFP, PNP, Navy, PCGA and other rescue volunteers were immediately deployed and conducted continuous SAR operations.

On 16 July 2026, a cadaver was sighted along the shoreline of Brgy. Montpiller, Buenavista, Guimaras and immediately informed concerned agencies. Through coordinated efforts of CGSS Buenavista, SOU Central-Iloilo, Buenavista MPS, MDRRMO Buenavista and MDRRMO Leganes, the remains were retrieved and positively identified by the victim's father as alias β€œAngelie”, 9 years old, a person with disability (PWD) through her body structure and the clothes she wear.

The remains were subsequently transported back to Leganes and turned over to the funeral service provider for proper disposition.

The Philippine Coast Guard extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and reminds the public to exercise vigilance, especially when supervising children near rivers or coastal areas for their safety.

In reference to the advisory issued by the concerned shipping companies and due to the unfavorable weather conditions brought by southwest monsoon, all modernized passenger vessels plying Iloilo–Guimaras and vice versa will be observe the following schedule of LAST TRIP, today, 12 July 2026.

Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly, as trips may be suspended without prior notice in the event of sudden strong winds, heavy rainfall, or rough sea conditions.

π‡π€πππ„ππˆππ† ππŽπ–: Ongoing evacuation efforts of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo personnel together with SOU-Central Iloilo, Coast Guard Sub-Station Iloilo Fish Port Complex (IFPC) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Oton personnel to residents affected by flooding brought by continues heavy rainfall due to enhance southwest monsoon at Oton, Iloilo, today, July 12, 2026.

As of 8:00 AM, July 12, 2026, eighty (80) individuals have been safely evacuated to different barangay evacuation centers. Close coordination with concerned agencies has been made to conduct assessment and render necessary assistance needed for the evacuees.

π—Ÿπ—’π—’π—ž: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo, under the leadership of its Acting Commander, CAPT Jan J Terazona PCG, through Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Ajuy, successfully rescued fourteen (14) individuals in the vicinity waters between Punta Buri Island and Marbuena Island, Ajuy, Iloilo, today, 11 July 2026.

CGSS Ajuy received a report from a concerned citizen regarding a distressed motorbanca carrying fourteen (14) individuals, including the boat captain and crew, in the abovementioned area. The motorbanca had departed from Punta Buri Island bound for Brgy. Mangorocoro, Ajuy, Iloilo when it encountered strong winds and rough seas. The vessel's propeller was damaged due to the prevailing weather conditions, leaving it unable to continue its voyage.

Upon receiving the report, the Deployable Response Team (DRT) of CGSS Ajuy, together with Bantay Dagat personnel, immediately responded to the incident and conducted rescue operations. Likewise, coordination was made with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Ajuy to ensure the availability of an ambulance and medical personnel.

The response team successfully rescued all fourteen (14) individuals and safely transported them to the shoreline of Brgy. Mangorocoro, where they were turned over to MDRRMO Ajuy for medical assessment. All rescued individuals were found to be in good physical condition.

CGS Iloilo reminds all motorbanca operators, fishermen, and the riding public to refrain from venturing out to sea during inclement weather and to continuously monitor official weather advisories issued by the appropriate government agencies. The Philippine Coast Guard remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the maritime community.

𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo under the leadership of its Acting Commander, CAPT Jan J Terazona PCG through Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Miagao successfully rescued nineteen (19) individuals who were trap under Tumagbok Bridge, Miagao, Iloilo early this morning of 11 July 2026.

Due to heavy rains caused by southwest monsoon which was strengthened by typhoon , the sudden rise of water level was experienced within the area. CGSS Miagao deployable response team in close coordination with Local Government Unit and other concerned agencies successfully rescued said individuals to include nine (9) children and ten (10) adults were safely evacuated to Miagao Regional Evacuation Center, Bgry. Kirayan Takas, Miagao, Iloilo for further assistance.

CGS Iloilo remains committed to perform its mandate by ensuring the safety and security of the community and to conduct humanitarian assistance through strong inter-agency collaboration for a timely and effective response operations.
