ISABELA CITY - In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month, DICT Basilan actively took part in the HAPIsabela Indigenous People’s Summit and Public Service Caravan spearheaded by the City Government of Isabela last October 6, 2025 at the Isabela City Civic and Cultural Center.
The DICT provided vital support to Indigenous Peoples by providing free internet access, printing, and photocopying services, as well as on-site assistance for the installation and verification of the eGovPH app. The event was graced by the presence of Senator Robinhood "Robin" Padilla, whose attendance underscored his strong commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of Indigenous communities.
By taking part in community events like the IP Summit, this initiative underscores the core mission of the DICT Cares program - to bridge the digital divide and advance digital inclusion for all, especially to the underserved and marginalized communities.

MALUSO, BASILAN - The DICT Basilan Provincial Office successfully conducted the Digital Literacy Training held last October 7–9, 2025 to Maluso Government Workers at the SB Hall, Maluso Municipality, Basilan.
The three-day Digital Literacy (DL) Training was attended by 45 local government personnel and Barangay Secretaries. This hands-on program is specifically designed to enhance the digital skills of government workers. It provides a comprehensive overview of key Microsoft Office applications, focusing on essential competencies needed to improve efficiency in daily administrative and operational tasks within government offices.
In addition to the core training, the participants also received on-site assistance for the installation and verification of the eGovPH app, an orientation on the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI), and a session on cybersecurity awareness to further strengthen digital readiness and data security in government operations.

Sa utos ng Pangulo at sa pangunguna ni Secretary Henry Aguda, patuloy na pinalalakas ng DICT ang digital infrastructure ng bansa para sa mas mabilis, mas maaasahan, at mas abot-kayang internet para sa lahat.
Ito ay isang malaking hakbang patungo sa mas konektado at mas progresibong Bagong Pilipinas.

Sa utos ng Pangulo at sa pangunguna ni Secretary Henry Aguda, patuloy na pinalalakas ng DICT ang digital infrastructure ng bansa para sa mas mabilis, mas maaasahan, at mas abot-kayang internet para sa lahat.

Sa pangunguna ni Secretary Henry Aguda, mas pinapadali, pinapabilis at pinapalapit sa taumbayan ang serbisyo ng pamahalaan.
Ito ang Bagong Pilipinas, digitally empowered at inclusive.

During this rainy season, floods affect many areas across the country. In true Bayanihan spirit, Filipinos are quick to extend help in any way they can.
But beware! Scammers take advantage of these situations to steal money or personal data through fake donation drives, phishing links, and bogus emergency alerts.
Check these few after storm tips. Verify before you trust.

Bayanihan is real, but so is Budol!
Scammers take advantage of your compassion, pretending to be typhoon victims, volunteers, or even government workers. They craft emotional stories, use stolen photos, and pressure you into donating or clicking shady links.
All you wanted was to help but instead of reaching real victims, your support ends up in the hands of fraudsters solving their personal financial problems. Some will even trick you into giving your bank or GCash details, just because you opened your heart.
In times of crisis, kindness should never be a weakness!
Verify before you donate. Knowledge is your best defense, stay alert and help others while staying protected too.
