BCPC Empowerment: Another three (3) Barangay done for BCPC Orientation

The City Social Welfare and Development Office Jaro II District conducted a BCPC Orientation in the three barangays (Cubay, Camalig, and Buntatala) under Jaro II District.

The activity aims to strengthen the delivery of grassroots-level programs and services for the community and children through the collective efforts and collaboration between the office and the barangays. It highlighted the importance of BCPC functionality, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and the Four Fundamental Rights of every child to further promote child protection, participation, survival, and development within the community because every child matters.

Thank you, Barangay Councils! We are looking forward to the future activities of our BCPC officers and members while molding their skills in leadership and development as child leaders in the community.

Walang Gutom Program: Nutrition Education Session (NES)

Conducted NES for Walang Gutom Program beneficiaries as a condition for receiving PHP 3,000.00 worth of food redemption monthly using their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card during redemption.

CORE PHILIPPINES, INCORPORATED: Turnover of Rice Donation to Jaro II District CISS Beneficiaries

A meaningful gesture of care, humility, and solidarity was extended to the beneficiaries through the turnover of rice donations from the students of Philippine Science High School – Western Visayas Campus.

This initiative was facilitated through the Street Children NGO Support Project (SNSP) in partnership with CORE Philippines, Incorporated and the Iloilo City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

The activity aimed to provide rice assistance and support to Children in Street Situations (CISS) and their families, helping address their immediate needs while promoting compassion, empowerment, social development and action.

A Mother's Day Celebration: "Nanay: Kusog Ko, Buwas Damlag Ko"

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) Jaro II District joined the Mother's Day Celebration in coordination with the Solo Parents Association, KALIPI, and 4Ps members. The activity highlighted the invaluable role of mothers in the family and community, as well as showcased the talents, strength, and resilience of every Nanay.

Also, congratulations to our contestants for achieving 1st Runner-Up and for beautifully portraying the life of a mother filled with love, selflessness, perseverance, and countless sacrifices.
