Promoting community resilience through education, BFP Kapalong headed by FSINSP MELVIN M ESPORSADO conducted a vital fire safety seminar for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) officials and members in the Municipality of Kapalong headed by SKMF President Hon. Jake Cabilogan during the Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration, empowering youth leaders to safeguard their communities this afternoon of 29 August 2024 at Kapalong Green Paradise.

On August 13, 2024, personnel from the Kapalong Fire Station, led by Municipal Fire Marshal FSINSP MELVIN M ESPORSADO participated in a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Mankilam, Tagum City. The test was conducted by the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal, under the leadership of FSUPT RODOLFO B ALOCELJA.

The purpose of the Physical Fitness Test is to evaluate the physical readiness and overall health of fire personnel, ensuring they are fit to meet the demanding physical requirements of their duties. This activity is crucial as it not only helps in maintaining the fitness standards of the Bureau of Fire Protection but also enhances the operational efficiency and effectiveness of its personnel in responding to emergencies.

Prior to the physical fitness test, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel took initial vital signs to assess the participants' baseline health status and readiness for exercise.

During the recently concluded 76th Araw ng Kapalong weeklong celebration last week, the Kapalong firefighters headed by Municipal Fire Marshal FSINSP MELVIN M ESPORSADO with the supervision of Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT RODOLFO B ALOCELJA were actively involved in various activities:

Firemen and Fire Truck Visibility:
Fire truck was stationed during the Habhab Festival while firefighters also inspected the vicinity to ensure safety and quick response in case of emergencies.

Mayor Timbol Bike Challenge:
Firefighters provided support during the Mayor Timbol Bike Challenge, ensuring the safety of participants throughout the event.

Ecumenical Service and Unveiling of the Peace Monument:
The firefighters attended the ecumenical service and participated in the unveiling of the Peace Monument, reflecting their commitment to community involvement and unity.

Motorcade for CBDRRM Rescuelympics:
Firefighters joined the motorcade for the Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) Rescuelympics, promoting disaster preparedness.

Bulahan sa Kasadya Grand Parade:
Firefighters took part in the Kasadya Grand Parade, showcasing their presence and commitment to public safety together with the Kiddie Fire Marshals of Maniki Central Elementary School SPED Center.

Fireworks Display:
The team was on standby during the fireworks display, ensuring that the event was conducted safely. Prior to that, a keen fire safety inspection was conducted.

Throughout the festival, Kapalong firefighters remained active and visible, underscoring their role in maintaining public safety and supporting community events.

BRIGADA ESKWELA 2024
In preparation for the school year 2024-2025 of the Department of Education nationwide, the Kapalong firefighters headed by FSINSP MELVIN M ESPORSADO in supervision of Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT RODOLFO B ALOCELJA, had actively participated the Brigada Eskwela 2024 from July 22-26, 2024 by conducting Fire Safety Awareness Campaign thru lecture and inspection to Clementa F. Royo ES (Maniki), Mangulibas ES (Katipunan), Tiburcia ES (Tiburcia), Sampao Integrated School (Sampao), Sambayon ES (Sua-on), and Maniki Central ES SPED Center (Maniki).
