Isip timaan sa pagpasalamat ug pag-ila sa mga indibidwal, organisasyon, ug mga sponsors nga nahimong kabahin sa pagsaulog sa ika-78th Araw ng Kapalong, malampusong gipahigayon ang Mayor’s Night Charity Event adlaw’ng Biyernes, Hulyo 31, 2026 sa Townsquare.

Usa sa mga highlights sa maong kalihokan mao ang pagpasidungog sa mga sponsors ug partners nga mipakita sa ilang padayon nga suporta sa mga programa ug kalihokan sa lungsod.

Isip kabahin sa maong programa, 21 ka mga benepisyaryo ang nakadawat sa ilang tagsa-tagsa ka mga assistance nga nagkantidad ug P20, 000 matag usa gikan sa mga sponsors ug sa LGU Kapalong. Naglangkob kini sa medical, educational, ug livelihood assistance, nga gitumong sa pagtabang sa ilang kasamtangang panginahanglan ug paghatag og bag-ong paglaum.

Sa iyang mensahe, gipadayag ni Mayor Edgardo L. Timbol ang iyang dakong pasalamat sa tanang sponsors, partners, ug mga nagkahiusang sektor nga misuporta sa kasaulogan. Matud pa niya, ang ilang pagtinabangay dili lamang nakapalambo sa selebrasyon kondili nahimong instrumento usab sa paghatag og paglaum sa pipila ka mga Kapalongian.

Gipasiugda usab sa Mayor nga ang tinuod nga kalampusan sa usa ka selebrasyon dili lamang masukod sa engrandeng mga kalihokan, kondili sa positibong kausaban nga nahatag niini ngadto sa katawhan. Ang Mayor’s Night Charity Event nahimong simbolo sa panaghiusa, pagkamanggihatagon, ug lig-on nga panag-uban sa lokal nga panggamhanan ug sa pribadong sektor alang sa kaayohan sa tanang Kapalongian.

Pinaagi sa padayon nga panagtambayayong tali sa LGU Kapalong ug sa mga kaabag niini, gilauman nga mas daghan pang mga programa ug inisyatiba ang mapasiugda sa komunidad sa umaabot.

Dayanghirang, diin among gihisgutan ang padayon nga pagpalig-on sa disaster preparedness ug ang maayong pagdumala sa Kapalong Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), nga nagpakita sa kahimtang sa Kapalong isip usa ka lig-on ug andam nga lungsod panahon sa mga emerhensiya ug kalamidad.

Gidayeg usab ni Dir. Dayanghirang ang pagpahigayon sa Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) Day 2026, nga gipahigayon sa susamang adlaw aron mapalig-on ang kahibalo, kaandam, ug kapasidad sa matag barangay sa pagtubag sa mga emerhensiya pinaagi sa nagkalain-laing emergency response activities ug simulation exercises.

Gipasiugda usab sa duha ka opisyal ang kamahinungdanon sa padayon nga panagtinabangay tali sa lokal nga panggamhanan ug sa mga ahensiya sa gobyerno aron mas mapalig-on pa ang kaandam sa komunidad ug masiguro ang kaluwasan sa matag Kapalongian sa panahon sa mga kalamidad.

𝗖𝗕𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 2nd 𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗗𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘𝗟𝗬𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗦

As part of the culmination of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2026 celebration, the Municipality of Kapalong successfully conducted the CBDRRM Day 2026: 2nd Garantessado Rescuelympics, bringing together more than 600 participants from the municipality's 14 barangays at the LGU Grounds in a meaningful celebration of community preparedness, resilience, and unity.

The activity formally commenced with an opening program featuring the presentation of the Municipality's NDRM 2026 activities, the official 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌 (𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠), 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐌𝐎𝐀) 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬—strengthening collaboration and reinforcing a shared commitment toward effective Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐗𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐆. 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐎. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢, 𝐌𝐌𝐏𝐀, who delivered inspiring messages emphasizing the vital role of community participation, preparedness, and partnership in building disaster-resilient communities. Local officials and representatives from various partner agencies also expressed their unwavering support for the municipality's DRRM initiatives.

Adding excitement and valuable learning experiences to the celebration were the day's featured activities: the 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐙𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄,, and the much-awaited 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐄𝐋𝐘𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐒. These competitions showcased the participating barangays' knowledge, teamwork, emergency response capabilities, and dedication to promoting a culture of preparedness and resilience.

The celebration concluded with the awarding of winners and recognition of all participating barangays and partner agencies. 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐋. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥 reaffirmed the Local Government Unit's commitment to strengthening disaster resilience through sustained community engagement and proactive DRRM programs.

Meanwhile, 𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐫. 𝐈𝐈 encouraged every barangay to continue fostering preparedness and unity in safeguarding their communities.

To formally close the activity, 𝐌𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌𝐎 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚, 𝐌𝐁𝐀, delivered the closing message, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders, volunteers, facilitators, judges, and participants whose collective efforts made the event a resounding success.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) extends its sincerest appreciation to all participating
barangays, partner agencies, volunteers, facilitators, judges, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of this year's CBDRRM Day.

We were joined by Mr. Ednar Gempesaw Dayanghirang, Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) XI and Chairperson of the RDRRMC XI, during the Management of the Dead and Missing (MDM) Persons Training Seminar.
​His message served as a great inspiration to all participants during this 3-day workshop held at the D.A. Training Center in Maniki, Kapalong, last July 8–10, 2026. Together, we continue to build a more resilient community.
