The Office of the Sangguniang Bayan, through the Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food, Cooperatives and Livelihood and Committee on Budget, Appropriation, and Finance, conducted a Public Hearing today, September 3, 2026, at the SB Session Hall of the Legislative Building regarding the Proposed Ordinance, entitled: “An Ordinance Establishing a Revolving Agricultural Support Program for Farmers in the Municipality of Kawayan, Biliran, Providing for a Return of Investment Mechanism Through Farm Produce on Financial Assistance or Grants Extended by the Local Government Unit, Prescribing the Implementing Guidelines, and for Other Purposes.”

Present during the public hearing were Municipal Vice Mayor Jake S. Espina, Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Department Heads, Punong Barangays, and Representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
