THROWBACK TUESDAY | EDUCATION

This was taken last year, a moment that reminds us why education will always be the great equalizer, giving every Mangkasanon child a chance for a brighter future.

Through the unwavering vision and tireless dedication of Dr. Rex Jalando-on with the support of Former Congresswoman Juliet Ferrer, Congressman Jeffrey Ferrer, and the Provincial Government, we witnessed real progress in education here in La Carlota.

For him, education was never just a priority, it was a mission. A mission to ensure that no child would be left behind, that every student would have the opportunity to succeed.

It wasn’t easy, but under his guidance, it became possible.

We will forever honor his accomplishments, his dreams for the students and teachers of Mangkasanon, and the legacy of hope he built for generations to come.

Truly, he is deeply missed.

It’s interesting how some people call a project “overpriced” for years… until a crisis happens and the same project becomes exactly what the community needs.

Maybe the real issue isn’t the project, but the inability to recognize long-term planning.

“Were those projects worth the people’s money?”
Well, if they’re helping people during a crisis today, I think the answer is already obvious.

There are leaders who serve for a term, and there are leaders who build for generations.

He was the kind who thought far beyond his time. Even today, we continue to benefit from the plans and vision he once had for our community.

His presence may no longer be here, but his legacy quietly lives on in the progress around us. And sometimes, that’s when we realize how much he is truly missed.
