📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND GOVERNMENT WORK
In accordance with the advisory issued by the Provincial Government of Abra, classes at all levels (public and private) and work in government offices are suspended on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
This suspension is being implemented due to the inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm Maymay and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which continue to bring moderate to heavy rainfall across Northern Luzon, including Abra.
Your safety remains our highest priority. We encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions:
🔹 Stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
🔹 Do not attempt to cross flooded roads, rivers, or bridges.
🔹 Charge your mobile phones and keep emergency lights or flashlights ready in case of power interruptions.
🔹 Prepare drinking water, food, medicines, and other essential supplies.
🔹 Keep children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities safe and indoors whenever possible.
🔹 Continue to monitor official updates from PAGASA, the Provincial Government of Abra, and your local DRRM Office for the latest weather advisories and emergency announcements.
Let us all remain vigilant, prepared, and look out for one another during this period of severe weather.
Stay safe, Abra. 🤍🌧️
