𝘼𝙉 𝙊𝙍𝘿𝙀𝙍 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙂𝙐𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝙆𝘼𝘽𝘼𝙏𝘼𝘼𝙉 𝙄𝙉𝙑𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙈 (𝙎𝙆𝙄𝙏)

In connection with the 2026 Regular Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mangaan, Santol, La Union, officially creates the Sangguniang Kabataan Inventory Team (SKIT) through Order No. 2026-01, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the DILG and the DBM-DILG-NYC Joint Memorandum Circular.

The SKIT shall be responsible for the conduct of the inventory, safeguarding, and turnover of all Sangguniang Kabataan Properties, Financial Records, Documents, and Money Accountabilities. This is to ensure a transparent, appropriate and orderly transition to the next set of elected SK officials.

𝙎𝙆 𝙈𝘼𝙉𝙂𝘼𝘼𝙉: 𝘽𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙎𝙆 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝙁𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙎𝙏

We are proud to announce that SK Mangaan is a FINALIST in the Best SK Project Category - "BOTTLE DISPOSAL FACILITY PROJECT" - in the YES Awards of the Province of La Union.

Indeed, through unity and collaboration, even with a small amount, we can produce something impactful.

Thus, may this serve as an inspiration for us all to continue to serve for the greater purpose and goodness of the community.

𝙎𝙆 𝙈𝘼𝙉𝙂𝘼𝘼𝙉: 𝘽𝙊𝙏𝙏𝙇𝙀 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙎𝘼𝙇 𝙁𝘼𝘾𝙄𝙇𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏

The Bottle Disposal Facility is an SK Mangaan project constructed from December 16 to 18, 2025. This is to address the waste management issues, specifically the disposals of bottles, which further promote a cleaner and greener environment, contribute to food security through the Palit-Basura Program, support bottle recycling, and increase youth participation.

Whereas, MOA signing was also done with LUSSCA, Mangaan Elementary School and other stakeholders to ensure its sustainability and increase community participation towards environmental protection through clean-up drives, Dalus Day and other related activities. Also, one (1) MRF was constructed this year 2026 to further support the projects' sustainability and functionality.

"𝑾𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒔; 𝒘𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘."

Through the leadership of 𝑺𝑲 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈, in coordination with the Barangay Council headed by 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑹𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒐 𝑷𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒚, in partnership with the PALAWAN GROUP OF COMPANIES, LUSSCA and the volunteerism of the Katipunan ng Kabataan, the SK Mangaan and Brgy. Council successfully conducted a 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 in Barangay Mangaan.

The said activity aims not only to promote, conserve and protect the environment but also to build connections, camaraderie and unity among the youth and the community as a whole.

Through the supervision of 𝑺𝑲 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈, and in partnership with the Barangay Council, which is led by 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑹𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒐 𝑷𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒚, SK, and KK from Barangay Mangaan successfully took part in the 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓 𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌.

The said activity aimed not only to teach the youth that something good can be made from trash but also to inspire them to support and serve as a catalyst for a greener and cleaner environment.

In cooperation with the Barangay Council, which is led by 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑹𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒐 𝑷𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒚, and under the leadership of 𝑺𝑲 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈, SK Mangaan carried out the 𝐈𝐄𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 with success.

𝑴𝒓. 𝑨𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏 𝑱𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝑬𝒅𝒂, the guest speaker, shared his expertise and experiences on the said matter, which brought light, motivation, and encouragement to the youth that despite their struggles, they are not alone and that IT'S OKAY TO NOT BE OKAY.

In cooperation with the Barangay Council, which is led by 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑹𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒐 𝑷𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒚, and under the direction of 𝑺𝑲 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈. The 𝐈𝐄𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐬 was well carried out by the SK Mangaan.

𝑷𝑪𝑴𝑺 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑪 𝑶𝒃𝒊𝒅𝒐𝒛𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒂𝒕 𝑬𝒓𝒊𝒄 𝑨 𝑶𝒓𝒇𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒐 served as the guest speakers for the said IEC. The activity further brought deeper knowledge that enlightened the youth that, indeed, illegal drugs are not good not only for health but also for life as a whole. Additionally, the 𝑩𝒓𝒈𝒚. 𝑽𝑨𝑾𝑪 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒌 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒂 𝑳𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒏 also shared further insights on the laws relevant to the women and youth.

Through the leadership of 𝑺𝑲 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 and in collaboration with the Barangay Council headed by 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑹𝒐𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒐 𝑷𝒖𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒚, SK Mangaan, successfully distributed basic school supplies to Mangaan Senior High School and College students. A simple raffle for other essentials was also made to further ignite the educational drive of the students.

This support and movement of youth leaders may inspire the youth further to take their education seriously. This may also motivate other stakeholders and the community to deepen the educational support to the young people.
