WATCH: FLASHBACK TO THE SOLEMN MOMENTS BEFORE THE GRAND CELEBRATIONS!

Long before the main events and competitions filled our feeds, a heartfelt tribute and wreath-laying ceremony was held at the tomb of Datu Kalun in Barangay Malinis to officially open this year’s 43rd Lami-Lamihan Festival.

Mayor Oric Furigay led the program together with Vice Governor Jim Hataman Salliman, Vice Mayor Hegem Furigay, and military commanders BGEN Frederick M. Sales and LTC Francis S. Tupas. Together with Datu Kalun's family, city and barangay officials, and government employees, a solemn blessing and prayers were offered to look back at our community's roots.

Our festival actually started with Datu Kalun’s tradition of "Paglam-Lamihan" a time of thanksgiving for a good harvest which was later revived in 1983 by his grandson, the late Mayor Wilfredo Furigay. In case you missed it, the stage completely lit up with beauty, confidence, and pride during the big night. Our candidates gave a spectacular show, celebrating diversity and empowerment in Lamitan City.

REMEMBER THE PARTY VIBES AT ALEGRIA NA LAMITAN? WE WERE ALL ON THE DANCE FLOOR!

Right after the Motocross awarding at the City Gym, the energy went straight to the dance floor for ALEGRIA NA LAMITAN!

Everyone was giving their all with DJ Aidel, DJ Tyron, Dancer Vidal, and Dancer Mia late into the night! The crowd was just non-stop dancing from start to finish.
