We would like to express our utmost appreciation to our partners in sharing their knowledge, expertise, and invaluable services as Resource Speakers for the ten topics during the Info Learning Sessions held on August 22, 2026 at the Tourism Village.

• the officers and members of the Youth Mobile Force-Ifugao and Lamut Chapter.

Also, to these offices: the MDRRMO, MGSO, MENRO, OMA, MNO for the services behind the scenes. Lastly, to the SK Councils, the barangays, parents and guardians who allowed and supported the participation of your youths to this endeavor.

Your presence made all the difference to filling the participants’ cups interactively throughout. Indeed, empowering the youth takes a whole community.

𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐍𝐊 2026 𝐃𝐚𝐲 2 — 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘

After the run, the participants enjoyed their breakfast and fellowship before receiving the instructions and guidelines for the much-awaited Amazing Race.

The Amazing Race proper then commenced, challenging the youth through a series of activities that tested their teamwork, communication, creativity, problem-solving skills, coordination, and determination. The activity was made possible through the active facilitation of the partner agencies and event facilitators, who guided the participants throughout the different challenges.

It was facilitated by the personnel of the Youth Mobile Force-Lamut Chapter and other members from the YMF-Ifugao.

From running the course to conquering every challenge, Day 2 proved that the true essence of competition lies not only in winning, but in working together, supporting one another, and finding strength in the team.

𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐍𝐊 2026 𝐃𝐚𝐲 2 || COLOR FUN RUN — RUNNING TOGETHER, RACING AS ONE

Day 2 of the 2026 Municipal Linggo ng Kabataan brought energy, excitement, teamwork, and friendly competition as the youth of Lamut took on two action-packed activities: the Color Fun Run and the Amazing Race.

The day began with the Color Fun Run, with participants setting off from the Lamut Tourism Village, passing through Hapid Road and the Bypass Road, before making their way back to the Lamut Tourism Village.

More than simply a race, the Color Fun Run became a true team-building activity. Throughout the course, participants showed that the goal was not only to finish first, but to make sure that no teammate was left behind. Each team developed its own strategies, encouraged one another, and gave their very best to complete the course together.

𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐍𝐊 2026 𝐃𝐚𝐲 1 || KABATAAN NIGHT — A NIGHT OF FAITH, TALENT, AND SOLIDARITY

The first day of the 2026 Municipal Linggo ng Kabataan concluded with a meaningful and graceful Kabataan Night, bringing together the youth of Lamut in an evening filled with reflection, fellowship, creativity, and unity.

The evening began with a Spiritual Upliftment led by Ptr. Jovanie Changiwan, representing LAMP, providing the young participants with an opportunity to pause, reflect, and renew their faith and sense of purpose.

A Message of Support was then delivered by Sir Tom Kristoffer Guinomon, PYDO Designate, who expressed his encouragement and support for the youth and their continued participation in activities that nurture their character, talents, and leadership potential.

The night came alive through the Talent Showcase, where the different teams confidently presented their performances and creative talents. Each presentation became a celebration of the diverse abilities, passion, and potential of the young people of Lamut. There was also a Talent Showcase for solo category.

Adding a deeper sense of connection and unity, a Solidarity Dance was held, where the youth gathered in circles, extended their arms, and danced together. More than a simple activity, the moment symbolized togetherness, acceptance, and the shared aspirations that connect young people despite their different backgrounds and experiences.

Indeed, it was a night that unfolded gracefully and meaningfully, made even more memorable by the active participation, enthusiasm, and genuine camaraderie of the youth.

𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐍𝐊 2026 𝐃𝐚𝐲 1 — 10 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

The activity proceeded with the Info Learning Sessions after the Ten (10) Resource Speakers were introduced, who would lead discussions on various Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) topics, to wit:

~Mental Health;
~Health and Nutrition;
~Deceptive Recruitment Awareness;
~Agri-youth Empowerment;
~Anti-Bullying;
~Substance Abuse Awareness;
~Violence and Injury Prevention;
~Gender Equality;
~Life Skills 101: Self-Awareness; and
~Active Citizenship & Youth Leadership

These topics were simultaneously conducted and delivered among the ten teams through a rotation method. Eacg topic is delivered by the resource speakers through interactive sessions. Each team shall undergo ten info learning sessions one after the other following the series of sessions assigned to each team.

𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐭 𝐋𝐍𝐊 2026 𝐃𝐚𝐲 1 — 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗗𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗦

The LNK participants were grouped into ten (10) teams, composing of various members from the different barangays. Afterwards, each group were then assigned to their respective guardians, who served as the senior chaperones guiding the groups to the youth empowerment series.

It was followed by the announcement of the House Rules and Guidelines to promote an organized, respectful, and productive learning environment.

The opening program concluded with Closing Remarks, setting the tone for a series of activities aimed at strengthening youth participation, fostering leadership, and creating spaces where the voices and aspirations of the young people of Lamut can be heard and valued.

𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 2026 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞— DAY 1 | OPENING PROGRAM

The 2026 Municipal Linggo ng Kabataan officially commenced with its Day 1 Opening Program, gathering the youth of Lamut for a meaningful celebration centered on youth participation, empowerment, leadership, and shared aspirations.
The program began with registration, followed by the Opening Prayer, the singing of the Pambansang Awit, and the Lamut Hymn, presented through an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP).

The participants were warmly welcomed by Hon. Princess Claire Tayaban, Municipal SK Federation Vice President, delivered by her representative Ms. Marvel Butic, who emphasized the importance of youth involvement and collective action in shaping a better community.

Serving as the Guest Speaker, Michah Dayag Salvador, PYDO Staff and Youth Advocate, discussed Youth Empowerment in line with this year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Same Aspirations.” The discussion underscored that while young people may come from different backgrounds, experiences, and circumstances, they share common aspirations for a better future. The session encouraged the youth to recognize their strengths, use their voices, seize opportunities, and become active agents of positive change in their respective communities.

The Municipality of Lamut officially kicked off the 2026 Municipal Linggo ng Kabataan through a meaningful Tree Growing Activity held on August 21, 2026, at the Eco Park, Sanafe, Lamut, Ifugao.

The activity brought together the Lamut Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons and Representatives, Youth Mobile Force Representatives, Lamut Municipal Police Station (MPS) headed by PMAJ ALVARO A SECLIGEN, the Regional Mobile Force Batallion 1501st MC led by PCPT DREXLER A WAP, and the 115th Special Action Company headed by PCPT ROMMEL D TAMAYO, in a collective effort to promote environmental stewardship, youth participation, community engagement, and sustainable development.

More than just planting trees, the activity served as a testament to the spirit of unity, volunteerism, and active youth leadership. Through meaningful collaboration, the youth and our partner agencies continue to demonstrate their commitment to building a greener, stronger, and more sustainable Municipality of Lamut.

Together, let us plant today for a greener Lamut tomorrow.

LAMUT CADET LEADS PMMA GUIDON COMMITTEE, UPHOLDS TRADITIONAL EXCELLENCE IN “KADALIGTAN” CLASS 2025

A cadet from Ifugao has earned distinction not only for leadership in operations but also for upholding the ceremonial traditions of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) Class “Kadaligtan” 2025.

Midshipman Lieutenant Commander (Midn/CDR) Casey Trix D. Balamban, a native of Lamut, served as 2nd Battalion Training Operations Officer (N3) while also leading the Guidon Committee, a dual responsibility that reflects both operational leadership and ceremonial excellence within the Corps of Midshipmen.

As N3, Balamban was responsible for overseeing training operations, drills, and battalion readiness, ensuring that cadet formations and activities were executed with discipline and precision. His concurrent leadership of the Guidon Committee placed him among the select cadets entrusted with representing the Academy’s prestige, unity, and command presence.

The Guidon Committee, composed of elite midshipmen, carries the Academy’s Guidon Flag, an enduring symbol of identity and cohesion. Under Balamban’s leadership, the committee is recognized for maintaining strict military bearing, synchronized movements, and ceremonial discipline, reinforcing PMMA’s tradition of excellence.

According to PMMA cadet features, the Guidon Committee works alongside the Colors Committee in preserving the Academy’s values. While the Colors Committee safeguards the Philippine flag and promotes patriotism anchored on Kawastuhan, Kababaang-Loob, and Kagitingan, the Guidon Committee embodies unit pride, unity, and command presence through precise ceremonial ex*****on.

Balamban’s dual roles highlight the trust and confidence placed in him by the Academy, reflecting his capacity to balance operational leadership and ceremonial responsibility, a hallmark of PMMA’s holistic cadet training system.

His performance adds to the growing recognition of Cordilleran cadets who continue to excel in both leadership and discipline within the Academy, strengthening the region’s reputation in maritime education and service.

Together, these achievements underscore PMMA’s mission of producing competent, disciplined, and value, driven maritime officers prepared for service in the merchant marine, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Coast Guard.
